Right, I’m just saying if you aren't able to source a new pedal body it would suck.

If you get Assioma duo Shi then you can always source new pedal bodies because Ultegra R8000 pedals are everywhere.

one thing that worries me about power pedals is possibly not being able to swap the pedal body when it wears out. I went with a sram rival crank because it was basically the cheapest power meter you can get. (maybe a stages 105 single arm might be cheaper but idk)

The powermeters in the pedal are usually the spindles so you can just purchase new pedal bodies if they wear out.

If their pedal powermeters are really close to either assioma or garmin rally in performance and are at least $200 USD cheaper than assioma duo then it might be an option for me.

I didn't know that when I ordered so this ends up with me paying another $600 for a reasonable cockpit. Winow sells the cockpit alone for $400. I have tririg cups so this HB052 won't be the best option either.

After reading some posts regarding this frameset from I decided to get one for myself. The frameset was purchased from aliexpress for $960 USD and took a total of 21 days from ordering to arrival of the package. Everything was well packed and in pristine condition. The frame pretty much looks like a Cervelo P5 replica with slightly different geometry. Paintjob without logo decal looks great. BB threads and caliper mount areas look ok. The top bearing of the headset doesn't fit inside the integrated cup and sticks out approximately 2mm. It's not going to break anything but they definitely need to pay more attention to small details. I am not a big fan of the stem/cockpit because the armpads don't seem to have lots room for adjustments but the PD ASC clone extensions are still useful. Thus I purchased a separate cockpit. The build will be Shimano 12-speed ultegra di2 and tt shifters. Here is the list of components and cost.

Frameset: Winowsports TT119 size 54 $960
Groupset: Shimano Ultegra R8170 hydraulic (165mm crank+ 11-30 cassette) + Di2 9180 levers/9160 bar end shifters + cables/junctions  ~$2300
Cockpit: Vision Metron TFA $820
Wheels: Yeoleo SAT C60 DB SL $1049
Tires: Pirelli P Zero Race TLR 30 $150
Saddle: Fizik transiro aeris long distance $140

I will post more photos once I finish building the bike.

A plausible reason is how people underestimate the hassle when moving components from bikes to bikes. Pedal based powermeters are usually more expensive than crank-based powermeters but they are the price for at least a single-sided powermeter in addition to a pair of pedals. A lot of people don't realize it's a complete mess when they need to change crank length or just getting a new crankset while the crank-based powermeter is bound to the previous crankset. I started with 4iiii crank-based powermeters but once I realized that they are a huge hassle if changing bikes/components occur I immediately sold them and turned to pedal-based ones. Now I happily own rally SPD, rally SPD-SL and Assioma duo Shi on three different bikes. They work just as well as crank-based ones and I can easily transfer them if I will get a new bike.
