Thanks for the recommendations, the Elves Mori seems a very good option, and they have a distributor in Spain. It's missing the in-frame storage but I think I can give up that. Some people complain about the max tyre clearance but I think 45 it's more than enough, if I need more I will take my MTB

Sounds like you have a similar take to me on tyre clearance. 45mm is more than adequate and all this hype around using MTB tyres but the riders creating the hype don’t seem to be beating all the riders on gravel tyres.

Ican is a great manufacturer, their Graro is excellent quality. I’ve made an enquiry about the GR04 to see if I can get one in the UK.

To add, the frame from light carbon that hambini showed on his channel doesn’t go small enough and same for the new Velobuild AeroGrav - shame for both of them as their road bikes go a lot smaller.

I’m the same height so from experience, pay close attention to the seat tube length. The shorter the seat tube, the more seatpost out the frame generally the better the bike looks, and shouldn’t feel too big when you ride it. My road bike is a Pinarello Dogma F size 43 (length of seat tube) so lots of seatpost out and it looks right.

For Chinese bikes look at the sloping frame designs like Seraph/TanTan (can’t remember model numbers but you’ll see the one). The SP Cycle G069 looks like it should work (45cm seat tube) but given it’s a clone of the canyon Grail who would say the XS is too big I’m not sure.

I bought an ICAN Graro size 49cm/XS and it’s too big. The seatpost sits on the bottle bosses and would need cutting to make fit for someone so small. It would look like the saddle is on the top tube. The ICAN Graro is based on the Scott Addict Gravel geometry (which are considered larger than their stated size) so that rules out others similar like the BXT 135 Gravel which is another Addict gravel inspired frame.

The Elves Mori AeroX looks to be a good shout with a very short seat tube but it’s a racier geometry than most.

A grevil clone could be an option as pinarellos sizing is generally excellent for short people but I don’t recommend clones on principle… OEM designs are a different matter.

New wheels for the purple bike (6560 wavy). 54/41T Chainring on the purple bike.

New wheels for the blue bike are on the way. 50/37T Chainring on the blue bike.

Both bikes have around 2K miles on them each with no issues.

Is the grey Grevil clone from XMCarbonSpeed? You managed to get it without any mounting points too?

Brand new ICAN Graro carbon gravel frameset in gradient silver, size 49cm. Just delivered, but unfortunately it's slightly too big for me at 5'3".

This cost me over £830 to import including taxes and duties, so this is a great opportunity to pick up a high-end frameset at a discount without any of the hassle. The frame is a similar geometry to the Scott Addict Gravel size XS. Looking at the manufacturing quality I’m thoroughly impressed at how clean and well finished the frame is.

I have the warranty card that is unregistered so you can register a 2 years warranty.

What’s included:
- Full carbon frame (Toray T700/T800/T1000)
- Carbon fork
- Carbon seatpost
- Headset bearings
- Front and rear thru axles
- UDH Rear derailleur hanger

Key features:
- Full internal cable routing
- T47 threaded bottom bracket (CNC-machined alloy shell — perfectly aligned, no issues)
- Max tyre clearance: 700 x 45mm
- Designed for 1x or 2x gravel groupsets
- Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH)
- Aero tube shaping

Hambini has reviewed this frame, and in my experience owning several Chinese carbon frames, this is one of the cleanest I've seen.

Selling simply because it’s the wrong size for me. Ideal for riders around 5'5" and up.

Based in Nottingham. UK shipping available for £15.

Thanks a lot for the input! I did end up ordering the SPcycles G068. I took me a long to to decide between the three models that SPcycles does. optically I prefer the G020 with the dropped seat stays but it is very high and short. for this short rider I needed a frame with less horizontal top tube. The G056 to be honest is optically less pleasing to I went for the G068.
Would have gotten the Easedon too based on the recommendation, but I need a microspline body. I asked them if if is available and haven't heard back yet (only just asked).

Has the frame arrived? Just wanted to hear your thoughts on the fit if you've managed to build it?

I'm a similar height and I've ordered and received the ICAN Graro but I prefer more seat post out the seat tube than I've been able to get on that frame.

Hey,

I'm considering buying a carbone gravel Frameset. I'm considering the Ican Graro or the new Elves Aerox. I'll occasionally use it for CX races but otherwise it will be for gravel. I like fast and stiff bikes.
In your opinion, what would be the best ?

Thanks

Did you end up getting either of these framesets?

Going back to chainrings has anyone managed to successfully fit a 46t 1x chain ring?

I tried to swamp out the 2x 50-34 set up to a 1x 46t, both set ups using Praxis chainrings but the 1x chain ring is almost touching the frame. For both set ups I used the same chainset spacers were are maxed out to make the rotor cranks mirror the chain line of GRX chain sets

From what I understand , the 1x looks to have a 3mm offset to reduce the chain line,  although this is not listed on the praxis website it seems pretty common in 1x  chainrings when I was looking into this last night.

I'll go back to 2x for the time being and start to looking for zero offset 1x chainrings as they must exist?

Could you run the 1x chainring as the outer chainring on a 2x GRX chainset and then not run the inner ring?
