Via e-Mail they confirmed to me, that the frame works with 140/140, and that another adapter is needed for 160. I ordered just 2 weeks ago, so it'll take some time till I can confirm first hand.

I researched Wolftooth as well, and apparently they don't have Ekar compatible chain rings. Ideally, nothing gets messed up - at least that's what I hope :)

Anyways: If one is not fixed on a 110 bcd 4-bolt chain ring, I would of course also recommend going with a ratio chain ring and an Ekar chain. For me it's worth the try.

Yes, you're right. However, I wanted to use my existing 110bcd 4-bolt Powermeter, and I couldt only find 5-bolt offerings from Ratio. Also, by now you can get flattop-compatible chain rings in any standard (also 4-bolt) on Aliexpress for roughly half the price (hopefully not half the quality ;)), which is not the case for ekar compatibility...

I'll post here to let you know if the setup will work well.

P.S.: I want to use it with the wheeltop GeX, and I couldn't find any references for Ekar chain compatibility with the lower wheeltop pully, whereas there are reports on GeX+flattop chain which seem to work well...

At least I'll try ;) I found this info somewhere in this forum as well as on another homepage: https://dropba.rs/blog/drivetrain-compatibility

...I found out, that flattop chains are compatible with Ekar cassettes, so this adds some possibilities.

Are there any recommendations for braking discs which work well with the "new vrsion" GeX brakes?

Hi all,

anybody know of chinese ekar compatible chain rings with some standard bolt system (e.g. 110bcd or else)? I know of some more expensive alternatives like ratio technologies, but am looking for cheaper alternatives.

Great! Thank you all!

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Wheels with N3W freehub body
« on: March 10, 2025, 09:46:06 AM »

Hi!

Does anybody know of good chinese wheels with the possibility to add the Campagnolo N3W freehub body? This could also be wheels with hubs which are known to work with freehubs from other companies. For instance, if I would know, that some hub would work with DT Swiss freehub bodies, I could probably just order a DT Swiss N3W freehub body for use with the chinese hub.

Thanks in advance!

The SRAM XPLR 12-speed 10-44T (10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19......) skips the "12".   This one has several knock-off on AliExpress going for around $100.

SRAM XPLR 13-speed 10-46T did not skip the "12".    Its lowest cogs are: 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17.......   But SRAM sells it for $800/cassette.

The Wheeltop GeX wireless derailleur can work with this new 13-speed cassette.

I wonder why there is still no AliExpress knock off yet.  Patent? or market interest not there yet?

I was wondering the same thing, and was hinted towards the Ekar cassettes (obviosy a campagnolo freehub body is needed)...

Component Deals & Selection / Re: 13 speed 9-46 cassette

Thanks for the replies!

- I only found 12 speed Leonardi cassettes. In the 12 speed range, there are good options from ZTTO.

- Ekar would be great, also price-wise (although apparently just 9-42 or 10-44). However, it's a bit more difficult to find good and cheap wheels with campanolo freehub body...

For context: a 9-46 13-speed cassette would allow for a great 1-by drivetrain for road bikes in hilly terrain based on the wheeltop GeX (for instance with a 44 chain ring in the front).

Hi,
does anybody know of a solid 9-46 or 9-44 13-speed cassette?
So far, I just found MTB Options in te range of 11-52 and the like.

I'm also interested in the linked riser drop bar, but the drop is too much with the stated 130 mm.

Anybody knows an alternative with less drop?

I didn't find it in the threat: Could anybody comment on frame and fork weight?
