Question, does the lowest spacer/headsetcap/whateverthename is, sit flush after finishing the build? The gap/size doesnt really seem to fit the headtube/toptube-intersection.

By the way, loving the purple matte frame! Haven't seen that one before.

Look for PeterXu (carbon speed) on the forum. Can't go wrong with him :)

The main reason to wait for 24mm is for people with a BB86 frame, since a 29mm DUB crank (made of aluminium) requires the use of smaller bearings. 24mm needs steel or titanium - aluminium has a risk of shearing at those smaller diameters. Weight is roughly the same or slightly in favour of the aluminium cranks normally. If you have any other type of frame you might as well use the 29mm version.

Chinese PM options are XCadey or Sigeyi, they use the Easton interface.

Best Chinese chainring options are Stone or Pass Quest. Lexon is another option.

Thanks!

Since I'm going for a BSA BB frame, I can just as wel go for the 29mm spindle :)

Looking for a crank + PM + chainrings for a new build. Would love it to be reasonably light, 165, 167.5 or 170mm cranklenght.

Love ordering via Peter, since I have nothing but good experience with him.

However, I have a few questions:

A lot of ppl seem to wait for:
  • 24mm
  • Titanium
What is the difference between 24 en 29mm? Why would you rather have 24mm?
For the titanium I guess its stronger or lighter (or both) than alu?

Furthermore, what powermeter (spider) and chainrings would you go for? I love a closed ring and riding 52/36.

The advertised weight is for size 50/M, which is a closer to traditional size S/52

Touché, I take that back. Rest still stands :)

Maybe someone can move this to the Gravel-forum?

What I like:

Not too heavy (doesn't nee ligthweight, but doesn't need to be overbuild)
Internal cables all the way - yes, can be a pita, but look so much better, ans easier for those with multiple framebags
Racy geometry - also on gravel aero is everything
Tire clearance - normal, doesn't need the widest MTB tires on the market. People who want this could use an overbuild bike any way (see above on weight). Better to go custom steel :)
Internal storage - the best development at this moment I think.
Flat top tube + 2 botle bosses / riv nuts
Fork with mounting options (maybe optional: choice between racefork/backpack fork)

Cheap and good paintjobs! Make some designs that look good and let people have their own 'brandname/logo' added

Discounts if people buy 2 frames, free shipping for second frame + 20% discount would be nice.

I really think they should stop calling everything Super light / ligthweight when it isn't. I mean, for a full out aero frame it is not bad, but superlight is not what it is. Furthermore, the weigth is mentioned for the babysize triple xs. Average size (52 / 54 / 56) will be a bit heavier, making it go to 1100/1200gr probably. [edit] fair enough, as pointed out below, size S is closer to 52, not that small, but still not lightweight by any means [/edit]

The seatpost/sadle clamp looks different. Not sure whether I like that, but visually better than the TT-style sliding rail (like the x38 foil-clones).

What well known frame would this be comparable to? Doesn't look full aero. Weight is climbing-material, but looks more aero than (for example) an aethos. Curious about normal-size weight :)

Hello, I am in NL in the Eindhoven area, I may be interested on 1 frame...

Nijmegen here, almost ready to order :) What are you going for (which size and design)?

I agree it would look a heck of a lot more satisfying if it was parallel to top tube, however I like an angle to it so when I’ve got race nutrition in the BTA bottle it won’t leak out the bottle as easy.

You should see some of the other shit house things I’ve done after seeing the arms race the pro triathlon peloton has done with bottles. Pic below is the more tame set ups I did.

Loving the double BTA better (but still prefer it horizontal).

I'm using a DIY alu BTA bridge whateverthingie as well. Also not horizontal, but got the botle in backward. Must say that with the right botle it doesnt leak my nutrition.

Still curious if you have an instagram page to follow :)

All parts have finally arrived and got the rig set up. This is what it looks like pretty much in race set up (1st race is IM Lanza so front mech needed, but will be removed for flatter races).

Made a DIY BTA bottle cage plate from an AliEx carbon plate and a 3 slot bottle age adaptor common in MTBing.

The Trek Speedconcept Gen 3 (disc brake) specific downtube bottle doesnt work on this frame as it comes, however I'll find a way to mod the that bottle cage to fit. That or use the Orbea Ordu OMX or Cervelo downtube bottle.

That looks absolutely on par with any of the big brands recent releases (at, the 'normal' looking ones). Got an Insta page to follow (curious about Lanza results and futher photo's of this machine) :)

(okay, one thing: I'd like the BTA to be horizontal to the toptube and not with the angle of the wedge --> given that you like DIY, I think that's an easy one for you :) )

I'm 5'-10" to 5'-11", inner leg length i would say is normal. I've always run size 54 bikes (cervelo, giant, scott), so I'm expecting this to fit similarly. You can use BikeInsights.com to compare frame geometry's. I compared my now old Cervelo R3 to the SL8 (TTX68 is exact same geometry), and found 6mm more reach and 11mm lower stack.

Thanks, same length here (but in the normal metric system :P ) Also on 54 on different brands (or S in case of canyon).

I'm also eyeballing a different crank/powermeter. Not sure if everything fits on this frame. Which combi Xcadey/Lexon are you considering als an future update?

I have wheels from Peter on the forum (xmcarbonspeed), with 50mm deep and 33mm wide (that is actually 34 at widest part.
With my gp 5000 s 30mm, they come at around 33mm.
Base price of the wheels was around 450$, with ratchet hub, 1420 spokes and my custom logo. Peter was really helpful. Production and Delivery took about a month
They feel really nice to ride with, and so far got 0 problems.
One note is that freehub is loud, but a bit of grease reduce it to a pleasant level. I can send pics if you need

Whtat he says: contact Peter :)

Just to be sure, you want rims for tubes? Or for the use with inner tires (met binnenband)? Or tubeless(ready), which most are these days and can be used with inner tires as well :)

Anyhow, I suggest you contact Peter on the forum. He has the best wheels around and easily is within budget. Just received mine (also in The Netherlands, Nijmegen) and will be ordering from him again in the future :)
