The FS830 works f.... awesome with the coil damper.

I'm going down for 1400 alt meters on a verry rough Tessin Mulattiera, fantastic.  ;D

Hy Volks,
i did some upgrate job on my FS830 frame.

- ZEB Fork
- SD Coil Damper
- SRAM Eagle GX AXS with Rocker Shifter
- Garbaruk Rear Derailleur Cage and pullys
(So it is more or less a Eagle X01 AXS)

Look forward the first ride in spring … now its Hardtailtime

The total dealbreakers might be other stuff, like how Haideli's last two longer travel full suspension bikes either had shitty beta-test level rear triangles (that totally injured at least one forum user!) and made us either crowdsource a fix or buy replacements, or a slightly better case of requiring steel sleeve to be machined to work nice. This design is substantially more fiddly and complex than those two are. Let's see how this one goes.

1. You can also use Alloy ;)
2. maybe it will also work without a sleeve, but I didn't want to risk it.  ;)

just my 2 cents

How’s the 830 doing these days? Been a while since the last update…

Hi man,
the FS 830 still works great. I did my last ride on Sunday and I still feel perfect on the bike. There are a few scratches in the meantime, but the frame is stable and all bearings adhere perfectly to the frame.
This year I rode about 60,000 meters of altitude from the bike park (but not so big jumps) to long alpine nature trails (my favorite).

Now the bike is being revised. I donate a few upgrates (Zeb instead of Fox36; Gx AXS instead of shift cable, coil instead of air damper & longer seatpost). My hardtail is looking forward to the parts donated by the FS-830 ;D.

Did you ride so much on 831? Any other problem to report?Do you have the JJJ mod?
For sure after shimano XT  I will go with ZTTO thread in bottom bracket.

I ride a FS830 (i think i'm one of a few, riding this frame), but its the same bottom braked. And i am Superhappy with the geo and the stability. But i mod the link bearings.

This ist my build up thread:

I'm not sure that Shimano fit's, because i ride a SRAM Crank dimension.

Problems: to me press fit bottom bracket is a very, very bad idea, especially on a carbon frame;said this the original bottom bracket was almost locked, bearing destroyed from water; anyway I managed to push it out and replace with a shimano XT. ...

I have had imstalled this shell in all the PF Frames:
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/33021799492.html?spm=a2g0o.store_pc_groupList.8148356.5.71fc4f0dXR655N&pdp_npi=2%40dis%21EUR%21%E2%82%AC%2038%2C95%21%E2%82%AC%2019%2C08%21%21%21%21%21%400b0a187916665974943816642ee814%2167185730081%21sh

before Installing replace the bearins into inox Enduro bearings 243775-2RSO1.

This works this year for a realy lot of km and much more than 50.000 meter down in rough terrain.

« on: September 06, 2022, 03:03:11 AM »
Finished my AM831 last week and took it for a first ride yesterday. There is some fixing left to do, some squeaking sounds to identify. But the bikes feels very, very nice to ride on technical trails.

On the FS830 Frames was the solution to eliminate the squeaking sound, to implement a screwable bottom braked BB86-92 eg. from Ztto and remove the bearings into Enduro bearings.

Best regards

Hy Folks,
since I'm so happy with my FS 830 frame, my colleague asked me if I could build him a bike too.

So this is the result, voila :) :
