I thought that too, usually they lower price for pre-order items, but couldn't find anything like that, and if you compare it with Ultegra version which cost about 1900$, it seems it's real price.
This is absolutely normal for internal Chinese prices, makes you think how much Dura Ace really cost

Cannibalizing this bike for the sake of Dura Ace seems like a good motivation. Planet Xs have been bought quite often for this exact reason ;D

My thoughts exactly, it's like you are buying Dura Ace and getting free frame, wheelset, 3d printed saddle and other stuff, you can sell them and give back some of your money ;D

Delivery to my country will cost me about 150$, so not sure about other countries

Hey there,

Just wanted to point out your attention to the new bike that Sava released, the whole bike costs as a groupset (about 2600$).

  • It's full Dura Ace, no mix with cheap components
  • Carbon wheels (thou sales team doesn't know what spokes they use, weight and other)
  • Weight is 7.32kg
  • Terrible Chinese paint job included

What do you think?

You mean like these ? For the rear?
The braking power on the rear is really minor compared to the front brake. But by this 2:1 approach you gain much more evenly tensioned spokes and thus also the non drive side is high in tension. And the 3x cross pattern is on the drive side.
For the front 21H with 2:1 puts the 3x crossed side to the break. Also in the result you have much more even tension.
There are in fact quite some wheels for disc with 21h 2:1 , also with steel spokes.
(Just to not mix it:The  winspace front wheel shows a crossed pattern on both sides)

Yes, thank you very much for the answer

Hey there,

I’ve noticed a growing trend where Chinese manufacturers are using radial lacing on the disc brake side, which is generally considered a no-go for many wheel builders and is prohibited by Shimano’s manual. Is this practice normal for carbon spokes? Is it safe, and have there been any reported issues with it? Even Winspace includes this design in their high-tier wheels.

Found geometry info on their site: https://tideacebike.com/products/fm-cr068-aerodynamic-road-racing-bike-frame

Scott Foil and TanTan x38, even though by using it i noticed that there are more differences than similarities

I'm interested. While I don't love the fork, it's nice to finally see some new designs. The SL7 one-bike-to-rule trend is slowly fading and people want aero again. Would make for some interesting YouTube content if they can figure out their western world distribution.

-Stiff
-Comfortable
-Affordable

Pick two, but you can't have all three

I think they mostly make it for China, haven't seen any abroad dealers, but it's not.a problem since there are many forwarder companies who can send you the bike.
It's already available on taobao:https://m.tb.cn/h.57hgVjR?tk=vhC8WX3fQ3w

BTW, I  felt in love with this chameleon color, seems to resemble Foil RC20:

I'm looking to buy this bike, recently they announced it with starting price of ~2000$ for 105 12 speed mechanical groupset, extremely good price for such beautiful looking frame

Also more info here: https://www.biketo.com/product/52274.html?all=1

The weight is about 1300g for standard and 1100g for Plume (more expensive version), plus they have option for lighter and thinner fork (that is lighter for about 80 grams):

There are seatpost options for 0 and 15mm offset:

On weightweenies forum one folks said that it's very stiff and harsh compared to SL8:  https://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=174075

Thank you. That helps a lot. I have a 31mm wide wheelset on order that I have high hopes for and I wanted to make sure it fits the frame.
My frame has not been shipped yet. LTWOO er9 is currently sold out in the official LTWOO store. I don’t really want to order anywhere else.

BTW, TanTan claimed on instagram that they tested this frame with 32c tyres .

Hey there!
Could you measure the actual clearance in millimeters between the chainstays where the tire sits?
I wonder if the frame will clear 31mm wide rims fine with 28c to 30c tires. Patrick mentionned that the manufacturer overstated the tire clearance with 32c.

Thx!

I attached some photos of the clearance measurement.

How did you go about organizing this with TanTan.  I am thinking of buying a frame from them and don't have a particular hurry and don't want to pay their huge shipping fee.

Hey, sorry didn't see your message earlier, TanTan actually had nothing to do with my parcel lost since i forwarded it to different warehouses, they delivered the package to the first warehouse without any problems.
