Anyone here that uses a Shimano XT BB MT 800 bottom bracket that can help me with the spacer dilemma, so that I don’t mess it up?
Measuring the bb depth of the frame and the one from Shimano they both measure 92 without the spacer, so I think it’s not needed, right?
Thanks again!

Thank you!

Sorry for my ignorance, I’m trying to install the Bottom bracket, it’s the XT model.
On the right “drive” side, there’s a 2.5 mm spacer, (as in the picture). Looking online, I found that some frames need it, others don’t, so what do I do?
Do I use it in the installation or not? ???

Thanks!

Hi, I’m working on the frame and I wanted to ask you:

- does anyone use a chainguide on this frame?

- what chainstay and others protection for the frame do you use? Such as for the bottom, and for the rear triangle/frame space? Sorry I don’t know the specific names in english.

Thanks!

Does anyone use a chainguide on this frame?
Is it useful or not on an xc bike? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Thank you for the info regarding the bio-mechanics!

I have another question: I’m using the headset provided by Hongfu, it looks good quality material, but I saw that it doesn’t have any rubber sealing caps for the cover holes, where the cables come out, so when you wash the bike there’s a chance that water can go inside the down tube towards the bottom bracket, could be that an issue? How did you manage this?
I don’t know if I made myself clear  ::)

And Darkening, what power meter do you use? Is it mounted directly on the crown?
Thank you as always!!

Pick L, I am 170cm and ride size M. And i dont need a smaller frame at all.

Hi Darkening, I’m asking you as I know we are quite the same size (170 cm), but anyone who knows of biomechanics can help me.
I’m buying some parts for the frame, and I’m not sure of some measures. What is the length of your crankset 170 or 175? And what about the handlebar? My options are 74 or 76 cm.
Let me know what you chose for your bike.
Thank you and happy new year!!!

Hi I just ordered new wheels from elite wheels for this frame, and I now have a major doubt  :o The measure of the rear axle for the rear hub is 12 x 148 (boost) right? Is it correct? In the options was the biggest one.
Thanks!!

Hi I just received my new frame and it’s great!!
But I found this holes in the frame  :o and I was wondering if it’s normal, if you have too on your frames, and what’s their purpose!

Thank you!!  :)

I know I said last question, but since you’re so kind  :)
What handlebar did you mount? It looks very nice.
I saw that you’re using elite wheels, are they the pro36? How are you finding them?
I was planning to buy them as well

Thank you for the quick reply!!
You directed me towards this frame, in the other topic, right?
Just one last question, about the size of the frame: I’m 170 cm tall, and I have an internal leg length of 80 cm, what size do you suggest? S or M?
What did you choose for yourself?

Hi everyone, I’m seriously considering of buying this frame, it’s been suggested in another topic that I opened about best 120/120 downcountry frames, but I have few questions as you had already experience with it:

1. How is your general consideration after few months of use, did you have any issues, is it still a good quality frame? Any crack or break (I mean in a normal usage, not extreme jumping or similiar)
2. Did you have any issue in the building up, with weird measures, weird pieces or other stuff?
3. Is it possible to mount a 180 mm disk brake rotor on the rear, or just a 160 mm?
4. Did you have it painted by Hongfu (how is the paint quality? 2k clearcoat or less quality)?  did you leave the black matte basic paint or did you paint it yourself?
5. Is there a big difference between the superlight frame and the normal one in terms of weight? The superlight version is still reliable or is it more fragile? Did they use different materials or less carbon?

Thanks so much in advance!! I know that are many questions, but I want to be sure to do the right thing, I know that is cheaper than an official brand frame, but it’s still a lot of money!

29er / XC/ Downcountry 120/120 Frame

Hi everyone, what are in your opinion, the best XC/Downcountry 120/120 mm frames with modern geometry at the moment?
What I mean is:
- Quality of the frame
- Customer service
- Easiest replaceable parts (that you can find in physical and online stores, instead of ordering from china)

I don’t know if there’s an answer but let me know!
Thank you!!
