mix wireless of axs with powersource of di2 (deraileurs)  ;)
not having buttons on brake lever is a missed opportunity.

/these  built-in reservors in brake lever making the reach longer makes basebar looks nice.
us with mech brake levers, makes the front looks squashed  :-\

For my case i went franken Sram (sram + shimano mix)

Originally i built a tri bike with mechanical 1x Shimano 11sp r7000 with microshift bar shifters.
My wheelset are HG with 11-28 shimano cassette.

Then i upgraded my tri bike with just blips + Sram Rival axs + 12sp shimano cog.
Because my wheelset are HG,  i build my 2nd bike which is a road bike but also uses  same mix, where my RD is shared across both bike (for sram, its easy to move the RD around. And my roadbike also uses blips  (the brifter is only for brakes).

Currently for Tri bike, Sram axs + blips is the easiest to set up (chinese groupo dont have electronic solution easily available in market for tri bike yet)

i only bought a super hard to get tires.
i scored 2x 26" michelin wildrun'r 1.4 slicks some time ago, n theyre legit.

if the tire line/model are known to be manufactured in CN or known for CN domestic market , high likely those are legit

i bought my rt-cl900 from YiwuDonglue shop. came without retail box, but work straight out no bend. it even had the orange seal warning tape on.
personally i dont think theyre reject parts, but more of an oe excess inventory.

Anrancee (sp?) also sos for my shimano stuffs

This cockpit has potential.
a. does it has angle risers just below the bridge armcup plate, so that the plate and the mono- bar willl be tilted at certain degree?
b. can it be installled only up until the armcup plate ,without the mono-bar protrusions part? (meaning user can install 1piece aero extensions+arm cup single piece like fastTT/Winow from that plate)

The TT016 looks OK but doesn't have the mono riser. Some may prefer that frame than the TT017. There is a nice picture of the TT016 under reviews on the link they gave you.

should try negotiate if possible to have the TT017 cockpit swap/upgrade for tt016 order

IF, and only if you wanna push your luck, you may consider TT-x38 as it looks close enough like Foil and slap on fake UCI sticker.
Sebastian Kienle modified his Scott Foil for the Norseman Tri, and it looks close enough to prev gen Plasma. X38 have internal routed cabling thats compatible with ACR/DCR stems like Deda Vinci, Deda Superbox, Mosso ST-08 , and then you can slap on Winow's TT cockpit.
However due to the lack of toptube boss holes, you need to use doublesided tape to stick some bento box.

Your next possible luck is in hopefully XDS selling their TT framesets

.

No matter what settings I try it won't shift to the bigger chainring.

Im not familiar with PQ 2x rings, does it has a chain ramp catcher?
when you shift the FD, does the chain even tried to get onto the catcher behind the big ring, or also didnt grab it at all?

Luke@Teacevelo had one of his ring having that problem, where the catcher doesnt protrude out enough to catch the chain to ramp up (he did get it to shifting, but took extra revs)

Are the mechanical disc brakes so bad? Never had any before...

i have not ridden full hydro brakes before.
My TCR came with semi-hydro Giant conduct system.

my tt912 is with mech-disc Onirii BR-05 caliper+stock pads, RT-MT900 140 rotors, jagwire KEB-SL cable housing kit, Tektro TL720 lever.
my ttx38 is with Onirii BR-05 caliper+stock pads, RT-CL900 140 rotors, jagwire KEB-SL cable housing kit, Sensah Reflex brifters.

im only 68kg and i dont ride hills (theres almost none here), and BR05 kinda adequate.
The modulation with TL720 levers closely to my Giant conduct system.
Im not sure if my ttx38 still need more brake bedding time to get better (only had 70km mileage so far) because the feel, its not close to my tt912

Havent checked out the yeoleo t9. On the yeoleo website they have no TT frames available at the moment.

back then in 2023 came to know about yeoleo t9/t9s because a jp triathlete were riding it on strava. i think by that time it was taken off yeoleo website.
then as i stumbled upon tt912, hmm this looks familiar..
yeoleo official website no longer advertise it, but their old youtube n fb still have it. i cant quite see if theres uci sticker

anyway, due too beefier frame, tt912 may be heavy compared to other chiner tri frames. n also my cockpit is the older 2pieces stem+handlebar. i like speedmax cfr look with uprise basebar, thus i intentionally request n went for this config n install the basebar upside down (take note, with this 2piece setup, the fork front fairing has cutout for the current stem head if you swap stem in future, you need to figure how to cover the gap. the newer cockpit is 1 piece, n no cutout. but no uprise basebar)

I am thinking of the same in the future
I would try these- https://www.riderever.com/product/5/17/28
paired with Sram rival axs and blips.
still on fence about frame as i try and do UCI nationals and gran fondo TTs - unless i can get one that is very close to original and slap a UCI sticker on it!

yeoleo T9 looks exactly the same as tt912.
while few yeoleo aero bikes are uci legal, but i cant quite find if tt912 are tt legal

If you want the stem to flush with the top tube, VB-TT-023 is the one to check out.
If you want the aero fairing cover in front of steerer tube n made the section look super deep, tt912 is the one you wanna look at.

imo for tt/tri bike, dont look for cheapest, but look for the one that gonna make you feel like riding rocket ship.
my tt912 still gets the looks n head turner these days (also probably coz it doesnt have logo, so ppl were trying to guess what is it  ;D )

I’m not familiar with SRAM and was leaning towards shimano as I already have a shimano crank but I’m assuming it’s still compatible.

Most of my races are flat and the 1x would do but I’m doing Marbella in November and heard it’s hilly so would need 2 chainrings.

I will look into the SRAM route. Any recommended shops or websites for SRAM?

Shimano crank no problem.
There are few of us here run franken sram (sram RD + blips, with Shimano HG cassette, shimano/sram spec chainrings, and shimano/sram spec chains.

My setup:
SRAM Rival AXS 12 sp
SRAM blips 2 pairs
Shimano 11-36 cassette
PassQuest bcd110 54T chainring
KMC X12  (YBN SLA12 just arrived, will swap)

For SRAM, you need to try luck from international sites for deal, or amazon. youre not gonna find SRAM stuff on aliEx
