A few minor points:
  • if your post subject mentions eletronic, doesn't make sense the poll has mechanical. In any case I voted mechanical. Though I love electronic, the word "budget" is a bit of a grey area when we talk about 150€ vs 400€
  • if you live in the EU and you need a full groupset, chinese e-groupsets become way too close to 105 di2 or sram rival etap to justify whatever
Agreed, but paying €400 for an unreliable electronic groupser is worse then paying €150 for a reliable mechanical groupset.
My intention for this option was: "Chinese electronic groupsets arent worth it, but 105 Di2 is not a viable option in a "value-oriented build"

I personaly am looking for a €+-2500 bike build. Shimano Di2 is possible when pairing it with a entry-level elitewheels pair of wheels and a tantan frame instead of a nice pair of wheels from the likes of Peter and frame from the likes of speeder.

And what do you mean by saying  "chinese e-groupsets become way too close to 105 di2 or sram rival etap to justify whatever"
The performance of the chinese options is way to close to justify the premuim of 105
Or
The price of of the chinese options is way to close to justify the hassle of chinese options?

I myself live in EU and as title suggests,  a budget-concious rider that (thinks) know's bike, in the market for a bike.
I feel like the current Ltwoo ERX-ER9 and Wheeltop EDS topic's are way too cluttered, hence this poll.
Thanks to everyone who voted  ;D

I went to Peter (xmcarbonspeed) and bought a set of 50/65 26mm internal, t800.  plus shipping. Just over 1300g.

Does this fit inside the X68? In Patrick Lino 's real SL8 it fitted with 32mm GP5k. When i asked this exact question tantan's responds was "32mm clearance".
IDK if this is tantan's way to deny the resamblance to the SL8, or if the clearance is really different.

I was looking at this same exact combo so any feedback is welcome!

Did the seller give you any weight for your size?
I am very interested in a x68 in size 58 myself. The proportions look good.
Curious to see your insights on stiffness: all tubes being longer it should be less stiff. yet a tantan x38 in 58 is very stiff i heard

5
Is that a 58cm?
First one i saw on this forum

aero just comes into play for speeds of at least 40k/h (the pro's speed).
For us ordinary mortals riding at 30k an hour, it does not make the impact you are suggesting.

Well it does, maybe try some GCN before suggesting the Nero show

Would love to see a picture of the headtube front on.
Together with some eye-balling of the deepness of tubes it is the best estimator we have of aero-performance of these really low budget frames (imho).

Is there any chance of getting pictures of an assembled frame in size M (50)?
Near zero, I think its a too small time window, not even one frame shipped yet i think

My bet would be Recklinghausen,
A new listing for a VOTEC VRC Pro on Buycycle from there...
I see u robin  :-* :-*

I might be reading this wrong but I assume you meant less aggressive geometry than Factor Ostro but more aggressive than Pinarello X, unless I am unaware of some super relaxed Factor.
Maybe the ostro gravel?

So something like this:

But a bit more normal looking and handling?
Is this the goal of this thread or am i interpreting this completly wrong?

Question: why the angled stem and not go up a size? Is it handling, looks,...?

SC-R55D Quickpro differences:
-Different seatstays (lower in quickpro and different joint)
-Speeder has slightly deeper downtube
-Different head tube shape
-Different seat tube/seat post

Its a long shot buddy

Seems original, but gimmicky aero features and kinda ugly imho.
Also very expensive for an aliexpress frame. For that price u can get a trusted winspace-eque frameset.
 I dont see the appeal
