You're joking right?

Paint looks great. You use spray gun or rattle cans?

Rustoleum Blue Cosmos for the color, and some spraymax 2k clear coat for protection.  Also hit the bottle cages with the color shift paint for more speed points.

It's not perfect, but certainly looks good from a few feet back.  Bike is currently hung up for the next couple weeks while 4iiii puts a power meter on the crank.  Really looking forward to getting that back and racing this bike.  Still need to snag some deeper wheels at some point...  Just gotta let the wife forget about the costs first

Just about ready to take on a maiden (outside) voyage!  Still playing with painting the bottle cages the same as the frame. There’s some small things to add still, but it’s currently 16.0 lbs, or something.something kg.

Maybe this bike? It's the Tan Tan FM025, and for me it's the perfect blend of endurance geometry with a racing focus and, most importantly, no toe overlap.

Off topic a little, but where can I find those bottle cages

Got my frameset painted up. Now I need to buy a groupset…. So far my wife hasn’t been too upset so I’ll call that a win!

Fedex Lied.  Axle was delivered today.

I get it, mistakes happen when grabbing parts.  While never ideal, Justin @ Speeder took care of it promptly, so +1 for that.  Another +10 for Fedex for shipping so fast.

Quick email with Speeder, and they have sent the correct axle. Should be here Thursday

Painting is complete.  Now comes the slow build process.  I noticed last night that the rear axle is a 1.5mm thread pitch, while the UDH is a 1.0mm pitch, so there is the first thing needing fixed

The Kocevlo cockpit is on the short list, but I’m not sure if it will fit mechanically shifting

Cyclocross Frames, Wheels & Components / AliExpress Syncros IC Handlebars

Anyone tried the supposedly real Syncros handlebars on Ali?

Looking for something for my Addict Gravel

I mounted quite a few of these: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004788375665.html
They are stiff and light. The top cap isn't that beautiful but kind of ok.

They are compatible for OD2 steerer tube and 30.8 with an aluminium insert.
This insert is a little too thin so adding some tape around its outer face were enough to fix that.

Have you set these up with mechanical shifting?  Just looking to find a IC for my Scott Addict Gravel that doesn't require enlarging holes to fit the hoses.

You should use as thin spacer as possible. With optimum thickness spacer you will be using all 15mm of the threads. 10mm too thick and it will engage only 5mm of the threads. At 15mm too thick the axle won't thread in at all. Someone more proficient with properties of materials is the one who to ask what is the minimum safe threading.

General rule of thumb, is if you have the diameter of the fastener in thread engagement length, you will meet full material strength (for like materials).  It's certainly more nuanced than that, and I hate doing thread strength math, but it's a good starting point

Frameset showed up today. Very well packaged, carbon looks great. Nothing raising any red flags internally. One of the threaded inserts on the fork for the brake mount does appear to be sitting below flush. Not sure if that will be an issue, as I don’t have any components handy to try it out. Everything is now masked, and I’m aiming to hammer out the paint asap

Did you get any updates after your order?
I couldn't get any response from him since 22nd Nov.

Just received word that my order has shipped. 4 days early isn't too shabby.

Once I receive it, I will give everything the once over and report back
