I build my first bike last month. A ICAN GRA04 "Race" Gravel Frame (there is a thread in this forum). With bottle cages, pedals and a toptube-bag its about 8.6 kg. I installed the Wheeltop eds gex. The wheelset is the elitewheels ent gravel carbon with 45mm hight. The frame have 50mm tire clearence.

So I would say it "fits" your criterias. Without the tools it costs around 2300,-/2400,- € including shipping, tax and a custom paintjob. I used some non-Ali products, like the chain, the tires and the bar-tape

The build went smooth. Watched some tutorials before and during the build. There was no problem I couldnt fix myself.

I did weight it, really quick. With tubeless milk, a toptube bag and a little dirt,  its 8563.  But just with a cheap luggage scale. So there is a little +/-.

After the first rides, its time for a little feedback. You can find my buildlist in the attached picture.

The paint:
I´ve choosed a custom paintjob in dark green and matte black. The paint looks really good. I´ve found just one speck of dust below the paint. And they have done everything exactly like I told them.

The carbon quality:
Nothing bad to say. Everything looks well made and I found no loose carbon strings, holes or anything like that

The build:
Went really smooth. It was my first build, so I´ve done some mistakes, wich took some time. But beside that, everything was good, even for me as a newbe in bike builds.

Positives:
- The build is a blast to ride. It is so much fun, no matter wich underground. It feels safe and it feels fast
- The beginning process of communication with ICAN was fast, friendly and they have answered everything I asked them for

Negatives:
- The weight. It´s more heavy than expected and more than they say on the website. After my feedback, they changed the weight on the website from 1050 to 1100. So they accept criticism, thats positive.
- The production and delivery time and the communication with ICAN in the later process. 3.5 month from payment to delivery is way to long. And they lied multiple times about the estimated delivery time.
- The downtube storrage. Its just a hole in the downtube. If you put something in there, it will fall down to the bottom bracket. No bag or anything. I will print a solution for that, but its really disapointing, that you cant use the storrage from the start and you have to build something on your own.

So I´m happy with the build and, mostly, happy with the frame. But I'm not happy with ICAN. And for my next build I will go for another brand.

How did you manage to get this frame? I contacted Ican about it but they refused to sell it b2c

I just asked for it directly with "get a quote" at the homepage. I´ve done nothing special. From that point it was the normal process:
Choosing the size, color scheme, pay for the frame, and waiting far too long...
I asked for it in January. Maybe they stoped selling the frame to normal customers.

Not that happy with the bottle. There are a lot of scratches on it, just from pull it and put it back from the cage 3-4 times.
Drinking from the bottle is ok. Nothing special or bad about drinking. They are cheap (3 for 8,-€), but I wouldnt buy them
again...

hi guys,

just some quick shots, from my first ride with the GRA04. I will share my experience later.
But as a short feddback:
The build went smooth, without any problems, and I´m pretty happy with the bike.

Hi,

thank you for the recommendations. I think getting a little mad, also via facebook/instagram, helped. The frame is now finished with painting, and ready to be send out.

Cyclocross Frames, Wheels & Components / ICAN GRA04 Gravel Frame
« on: April 11, 2025, 03:51:22 AM »
Hi guys,

I need some help. ICAN is not able to send my GRA04 Frame. I ordered it 3 month ago, and now I dont have any patience or trust, that ICAN will send me the frame. It was ordered with a simple 2 colored paintjob. I definetly

Now I need a similar Frame. I ordered it in size "M" - 53. Is there something like the GRA04 out there?

- lightweight
- storage space
- integrated cockpit
- UDH
- Tire size up to 50 mm
- similar geometry

best regards

Cant speak for Tideace, but I'm waiting, for my frame from ICAN with custom paint, since 2.5 month's... It's not normal to wait that long, but it happens. They told me that they run in some production backlog due to chinese new year. But it´s pretty hard to believe. Now they told me it will be shipped next week. I hope yours is ready for your trip.

Cyclocross Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Wheeltop EDS GeX

I don’t understand what’s the point with wheeltop gx, it comes for 600€ in EU, I just bought a sram rival axs 1x12 for 580€, same components. Yes the GX supports more gears and larger sprockets (…and I don’t care) but rival works very well out of the box, it’s reliable, waterproof and thoroughly tested. Should not wheeltop reduce prices?

If you compare a (massiv and not everyday available) discount price for the SRAM Rival, you also have to use a discount price for the Wheeltop Groupset. I paid 490,- (including german customs) for my Wheeltop Groupset. And for me, the option to uprade it to 1x13 or even 1x14 (in the future) is a real benefit. If you dont care about it, its ok. But then you can also ask why to use a electronic Groupset, because mechanical is cheaper, and I dont care about the benefits of electronic shifting ;)

Yeah, same here. I ordered a frame (an ICAN GRA04) with a custom paint job over a week ago. Its not as complex as yours,
but it will be ready early march to be shiped to Germany ::) My hope was to get it earlier. But I wanted my first build to be the
color of my choice so I have to be patient (not one of my greatest characteristics) :)
