I would also be very interested in a similar wheelset. How much would your above set cost?

PMd you.

Meant to reply to this ages ago, and seeing Patrick's YouTube today reminded me...
Peter kindly agreed to make the following for a monster gravel bike, and the results are absolutely brilliant...

D40CU-33 T1100 rims UD paintless 28/28H
Carbon Speed in-house ratchet boost hubs with steel bearings 6 bolts straight pull for 110*15/148*12 with Shimano HG driver
Sapim CX-Ray spokes
Sapim self-securing brass nipples

Had a month or so on them now and they've been great!
Thanks again Peter, outstanding wheels!

At some point you're either going to have to buy one and try it or give up, because all the answers people give you will only go so far I'm afraid.
Your other option is to buy a branded fork from your lbs.

That's good news :-)
Can't describe how it rides really, would just say give it a go, you'll always be wondering otherwise lol. I enjoy it, but grew up riding rigid.
My other bike is a full sus monster truck, so it provides a bit of yin Yan balance to life.

Think I got the 06, but essentially the same.
Brakes were fine and plug fitted straight in for me :-)

I have an SP cycles fork on my 29er, never abused it to speak of, it's still going strong.
Quality seems good, no complaints.

Hi guys
Has anyone ridden this and the LightCarbon LCG071 back to back?
Thanks:-)

I can fit a 56, so still in for fifteen lol ;D

What it be douchey of me to start a GoFundMe to raise funds? Everyone donates $15 haha

My monthly YouTube revenue and OnlyFan accounts aren't as lucrative as it seems...

With 3500 curious hits on this thread I don't think it's actually a bad shout, I'd be in for fifteen:-)
You could raffle the frame off after full testing and donate to charity.... Everyone wins!

C'mon Mr.Lino, just hurry up and order one so you can tell us how it compares to a real SL8...
I bet it's just gnawing away at you. Pretty soon you won't be able to think about anything else ;D

Sorry guys, results came from weight weenies discussion on tour magazine results.

It's more a question of curiosity and a slight hankering to build a light aero ish bike to see if it makes a difference... Although I don't think a 10watt difference is going to change my cycling career now lol.

Got caught up reading about aero and found some data on the amount of watts it takes to push various bikes at along at 45kmh. Wondered if anyone has seen  tests on any Chinese aero frames?

Hi guys
All thinking of a new set of wheels and was wondering if the hubs are genuine in the more week known companies wheelsets, as I'm sure I've seen a couple of threads on forums where they haven't been.
Many thanks
