My 5 cents; I am riding my GR201 gravel bike on the road now. It’s perfectly enjoyable and I don’t really miss my Canyon Aeroad. It’s also plenty fast, still doing 30km/h easy solo endurance rides.

I am really liking that Velobuil gravel frame and would buy it.

I’m running Peter’s 50mm deep 28iW/36eW rims. Briliant wheels, 1400g, ride excellebt and only were a little bit more than 500 euro.

Take a very close look at the Ridley Astr RS.

That’s the best looking modern gravel bike, and has some good specs:

- 53mm clearance
- 890g frame weight
- modern geometry (more reach = 407 for size M, less stack = 571 for size M)

I have 1.5cm spacers (small one and big one) on my GV201 - doesn’t feel too aggresive to me, but then again I am used to a Canyon Aeroad.

My Noah is also finished, loving the ride!

I’m doing a custom paintjob here locally, cost 600-800euro…

As an update for this situation: first I received a proposal for a $50 discount if I accepted the frame with the terrible paint job, which is hilarious considering I paid 8x more for the specific custom paint, so I refused.

So the conclusion: since I still want the paint I requested and the Chinese holidays are coming soon, they will restart production again, but now the frame won't get shipped until half of March.
Keep in mind I paid at the end of November...

Also apparently they now do not paint the plastic lid/cover anymore, since they can't guarantee it will close correctly.
Kinda weird to be honest, but I accepted to get the lid in black now (initially I asked and got an OK for a painted lid).
I didn't want to overcomplicate things, since they're already struggling with basic requests.

I'm kinda mad cause I had all the parts coming in now and was ready to build it up for the first race at the very beginning of March, but now I'll have to wait almost 3 months just to start building it....

At this point I just hope they finally understood what I actually requested.

For the other people that have already asked Tantan for a paint: you need to talk to them like you would with toddlers or a bot like chatGPT.

Basically you have to make sure they get all the instructions point by point, because if there's anything you've left for granted, there's a chance they might fuck it up unfortunately.

Ah that sucks big time.

Tbh, I would ask for a raw carbon frame and do the paint at a local paintshop.

Finally finished my Tantan build

I really like your build. What seatpost is that?

Merry Christmas everyone.  I just got my order in for D50CU-33 with the 20H hubs and carbon spokes, ceramic bearings, etc.  Great communication from Peter and really looking forward to being able to see and test these wheels up close!

Ordered exactly the same with Peter! Communication great again, same as with my gravel wheelset.

He is the picture, the last spacer make everything level, doesn’t have the same shape as the others:

I really like this handlebar! I see multiple versions of this one on Ali with wildly varying prices. Which one did you get and are you happy with it?

Received my wheels from Peter last week. Could not try them yet as my frame hasn’t arrived yet. Did check them out and they look really good.

For this price point also seriously impressed with the weight. Just a few grams above 1400g. That is quite impressive for a 50mm deep set, 28mm iw and 36mm ew.

Communicating etc with Peter is top notch. Happy purchase so far ^^.

Looks really good! Congrats on a stunner.

Does Tideace offer this frame without logos and with custom paint?

Yes, I ordered an unpainted frame by email.
