Re: Hulk Bike experience - 29" 33mm Asymmetric Wheelset A week or so ago I tore through the sidewall of the Maxxis Aspen tire on the SS. I took the wheel to my work today to clean it up before mounting the new tire. Here's a couple more pictures of the 12k twill weave. I've had a couple good rocky rides on the wheels so far with zero issues. Well, other than the tear in the sidewall that I could fit my thumb through.

Re: Pulled the Trigger on an FM10 from TanTan Received the bike via FedEx yesterday. Only approximately two months. Not terrible. Looks amazing and definitely exceeds expectations. Now I need to determine what I’m going to do. Yeah oh I like that one better

Re: 29er hardtail Every Chinese hardtail I've built have had play between the headset and the frame.  It is no longer an issue ones everything is tightened down because the conical interfaces centering everything.  But the pre-load of the top cap is key before tightening the stem.  I also lightly coat the bearings in waterproof silicon grease to prevent creaking/chirping.

Re: 29er hardtail I got the same frame last week. I ordered here on November 5th: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32794203847.html

The overall quality after a first visual inspection looks good, except for a little piece of the frame that was broken off near the rear deraillieur. The BB threads are not the smoothest ones too. However, the paintjob looks quite nice (white color with red decals) and the headset bearings just fit snuggly from top and bottom.

Unfortunately, the seatpost was missing in my shipment. I opened a dispute on Aliexpress and will get one somewhere else for me.
