Sweet.. Thanks for the heads up

Interesting.

What I'd like to know is what big name brand companies are using the same exact manufacturers and frames that are being sold for three times the price but are of the same quality as a generic chiner frame?

Also, are there different tiers of quality or are they the exact same? If there are different quality tiers what are the differences?

I know you asked for questions on specific fra, especially and components, but I think the general info I'm asking about would be very valuable to know for the consumerchant trying to make their choice.

Thanks.

23 pounds? That's awesome! Guess I didn't realize fat bikes were getting to such reasonable weights. Congrats and enjoy!

Doubt she answers bro. She made this post and then hasn't answered a single question on the forum. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

And nothing wrong with some package love. I think I still have most of my boxes from both my chiner build and custom PC build.. too pretty to throw away! lol especially those Eagle boxes.. damn nice.

Haha. Yep! Gotta keep that shiny new GPU box to remind you of the power inside!

SWEET build carbonazza. I'm jelly!

26er & 27.5 (650b) / Re: Communication Issues with Bert from XMI

No I don't think you've been taken for a ride but you mixed a couple of vendors up.. xmcarbon speed is Peter and xmiplay is bert... xmcarbon speed and Peter is who most around here suggest people to use. It's understandable that you would be confused if read some old posts because both Peter and Bert were originally with xmiplay then Peter branched off and started xmcarbon speed on his own.

How did you pay? You could always dispute the charge, get a charge back then order from Peter at xmcarbon speed.. in the end, I think you will get your frame but it sounds like Bert is giving you pretty poor communication and service, and maybe Peter would provide better.

Let's see if either of them or someone else on the board chimes in with more info.

For a "few hundred less" I'd definitely go with the 062. Personally, I'm not going to believe claims of superior quality without some type of documentation/proof. And im willing to get they're made of simlilar qulaity carbon, but that is an assumption, i could be wrong. Either way, plenty of 150-200 pound men satisfied with the 062.. your 85lb son won't even stress the frame a little.

What makes a good geometry?

Not too steep of a head tube angle, good standover clearance, chains tags not too long.. for me at least. It comes down to personal preference but it takes a few years in the mtb game to learn what it is that's right for you.

And I actually like the graphics other than "imust" being kind of a silly name.. Looks good though imo

I agree with Johnny, but there's nothing you'd really be missing if you go with a 2x system. I've just always hated front derailleurs bc they're so clunky in performance. That said nothing wrong with a good 2x system and if you're set on it I'd look into SLX.  Greattach performance at a good price with a slight weight penalty

Those LTWOO sets that do keen linked to are at a ridiculous price and I'm tempted to try one out, that's always an option. You'd be a bit of a guinea pig tho .

Interesting. So this is basically a sram replica?

Sorry, no info to contribute but thanks for posting. I was unaware these exist and will definitely be following along to see how they perform. They are insanely cheaper/more affordable that's for sure.
