Looks like this almost could do it, but not quite... It's something stange with the rear shock figures. 165x45 is not a rear shock that i have seen. What do you think?

I love slack HA and the travel amount it ok, but I would have liked to see another shock spacing...

Hi, I have build this bike and I really like it. The rearshock is a Rock Shox Monarch XX 165x38mm

hi guys, after some business trips finally able to build the bike. today i had the first test run. it's an awesome bike!
It feels small, but compared to my 29er the wheelbase and seat post to steer is exactly the same. also bottom bracket hight is the same. The 27.5 plus tires (3.0) provide an fantastic grip and on the beach it was just plain partytime!
On the road it also performed very well and on the tracks i couldnt withstand a big smile. the first thing which came to my mind was "adventure bike". it doesnt matter what terrain, this bike can do it!

Hi, many of us order all black parts from china, but you can get your own great design. Just make a sketch and send it to Peter or one of the other manufacturers. they will help you with the design. It looks so much better with some crazy colors and the extra costs is something like $80,-. definitely your kid will appreciate.
Here is a pict from the 29er I build this summer.

Nice!

I get multiple questions, if you don't mind
1) Is there an internal routing for a Reverb Stealth dropper post?
2) How do you design the painting? Is it your design or has Peter provided some options?
3) What is the real weight of this frame?
4) What do you plan for the Yari? 120mm or more?

EDIT: one more question, does the frame come with the metal plate to protect against chain suck? I see it on CS website, not on your pictures. I like this plate, nice looking and it's good to protect the frame!

Thanks!

1- Yes there is
2- You can make a sketch and send it to peter. He will prepare an impression, which you can comment etc etc
3- not sure. tell you soon
4- I ordered 130mm

VERY GOOD!

I've been waiting for a long time to see someone build the CS-M04 :) I'll follow this topic.
For your reference I bought the Juintech calipers (for a road disk brake). Not tested yet. It was a lot more simple and cheaper then using road hydro brake (they use a flatmount that is not compatible with my frame). But I can't understand what can drive you to use it on a full-sus MTB... :o
Can you explain?

Juintech also sells hydro brakes, which I consider. http://www.edgesportsuk.com/store/juin-tech/mtb/juin-tech-db1-hydraulic-disc-brake-set-red-f-r-160mm.html
Price and color are main motivations. I try to build this bike under € 3,500 including carbon rims.

My intension is to use the following components;
Front: RockShox Yari RC
Rear: Rockshox Monarch RT3
Shifter: SRAM GX Trigger Black
Rear derailleur:   SRAM GX Black (1x11)
Cassette: SRAM XG 1150 10-42T
Chain: SRAM PCX1
Crankset: SRAM GX-1000 GXP 1 x 11
Bottombracket:   SRAM GPX PressFit 92
Brakes: Juintech (taiwanese, sold by edge sports UK)
The brakes are available in the same red colour as used by Peter. I think it is a nice touch.
other components not yet decided.

29+ & 27+ / CS-M04 27.5+ full suspension
« on: August 05, 2016, 10:49:29 AM »
Hi, I am new to this forum, but have searched it many times. I have bought a new Scott Spark 29er and I really love it. My previous bike was a Giant Anthem 29er. The Front fork needed service and my rear suspension beyond repair. I decided to order a carbon frame in China and to use all usable parts of the Giant to rebuild a new 29er, which will be used by my wife and friends.
As I was researching the Chinese options, I came across the CS-M04 from Carbonspeed. After some negotiations with Peter, I decided to build this bike from scratch and ordered one. In this topic I will inform you about the progress and would like to get your advice and comments. Till now I have only ordered the frame and the wheels.
