Only when you're off the bike and pick it up by hand you can hear a little click. I would not be concerned about yours getting worse. I've been riding mine for about a year and it has not gotten worse.
That's encouraging to hear, I was concerned with that click for a while and thought it was caused by lack of tension at rear shock binding post.

Here's a somewhat recent photo of my M06, the weight is 8.99kg.

Correct torque value is printed on bolt heads. If I remember right, it is 10Nm all bolts.
Not the case for M06, there are no torque labels anywhere on the frame, so I had to guess and used 9-10Nm for all bolts.

@sissypants nice build, the price negotiation and custom layup advices are interesting, next time I order anything open mold I'd ask around about available options too. Sad to see the frame go for sale, maybe I should get a gravel frame too a build up another bike from spare parts.

What's that wheelset? Looks like Pi Rope spokes..
The spokes are Berd Polylight. A similar affair, but works with a lot (but not all) conventional hubs, unlike Pi Rope which requires proprietary hubs if I remember correctly. More weight can be shed with Dt Swiss fork/shock, I actually spent whole morning today drooling over a good deal for 120mm 29er OPM ODL Race (~750USD), but decided to stick to Manitou. A bag of valve shims will arrive soon, so I'd be able to tune the fork to my liking, which OPM ODL does not offer so easily.

No updates in a long time, so here's a "sub-9kg" scale shot to compensate.

just made these sub 1200 gram wheelset 28mm outer width somilar domensions to stans valor. laser sapim spokes. all in was $650 Canadian.
It's amazing how open mold rims allow to build light wheels for a reasonable price. If you go all out, even a sub-1kg doesn't sound impossible anymore and the price will be less than 2k.

Did you contact the seller yet? On the first photo a whole chunk of bearing seat looks missing, that's far from minor visual defects, but I'm not sure if it really matters in this particular place.

If anyone's interested, I've asked Hongfu about 19" FM-058: the price is 650USD and weight is in 1800±40g range.

Looks like a regular 036 frame to me, check out this thread, there's also a bunch of build threads spanning several years. I'd look for something a bit more modern if I were you.

is the M06 just getting more attention from XC racers because it has been around longer?
Most likely this, a year ago almost nobody here had any experience with either of frames. If I knew FM058 was ~300g lighter, I'd go that route instead of M06. If fly/sky weight rims are any indication, we might see even lighter frames in several years, on par with high end brand frames, like what happened with MTB rims. Here's a quote from conversations with Carbonbycicle.cc to prove the point, it's about road rims but I'm sure it's a sign of a bigger trend:
Quote
Yes, more Windweight road rims could appear in the near future, we think. We have to develop the technology into different rims step by step. That needs a lot of energy and investment for lay-up designs and testing.MTB rim's world market was expanding much faster than Road rim's. So, most Chinese manufacturers chose MTB rim first, for weight evaluation work.
We'll tell you that, someday when we have the windweight you want on road rims.

BB92 works well because it's wider, but the chinese frames are not a BB92 frame.. they just widen the BB cups..
That's a rather strange statement. BB92 implies a shell width of 92mm and 41mm threadless bore (see Parktool). If that was the case, we'd surely see a lot of negative compatibility reports. Maybe you meant something else? My experience with a BB92 frame does not align with what you've said at all. I'm concerned because such claims might spread false rumors about reliability of open mold frames.

And me that never have won anything in my life    :D
Have fun with your new wheels! I wanted to participate too, but then thought it would be unfair towards other people, given that I don't really need another wheelset.
