My bad it's ~571, editted my last post.
In your situation I agree the 170 Zeb might affect steep climbing.
The 160mm lyrik is a great fork, I wish 170 was still an option.
If you are lightweight and do a lot climbing, maybe go with lyrik.
I have a Lyric Ultimate 170mm. The bike climbs and handles great. Seat angle difference between 60mm and 170mm can be made up by sliding seat 1/4" forward. But probably not necessary.

29er / 180 mm rotor on a Carbonda fm909 ?
« on: June 20, 2023, 04:56:40 PM »
Can I use a 180mm rotor on a Carbonda fm 909? I am trying to do just this with Shimano XT brakes. And a 180mm post mount adapter to space the caliper properly. The mounting bracket of the caliper hits the frame with the 180mm adapter in place. Has anybody had this problem?

I wonder if you can buy two 52mm Slack-R inserts? One for the top and one for the bottom? You would probably have to glue the top in with epoxy.

What is the maximum size dropper post/insertion for a medium sized FM909?

Can you use an offset chainring?

This little part (Reverse Angle Spacer) makes a 'big" different
for me, in combination  with the new 120mm linkage.

What is a Reverse Angle Spacer? Where do you get one? Is it a slackening of head angle headset?

I think Shimano has an improved version of that motor coming out this spring.

E-Bike Frames & Builds / M820 Bafang - CEF50 frame ?

I have seen rumors of a lightweight E-Bike frame called the CEF50 frame to be paired up with the M820 Bafang motor coming this spring. Anybody familiar with this?

If you ride medium/17” frames I don’t see any downside…this is basically the Flybike/Carbonda e-bike version of a FM1002 with slightly more rear travel, higher leverage and a non-trunnion shock.

I think this frame is also available from Carbonda if you need other sizes…and they’d probably be better to deal with long term if you ever need replacement parts for the linkage etc.

The Carbonda FM E-1126 looks great. It is designed for a Shimano ep800 motor as opposed to a Bafang motor in the Kabon. I am not sure of the availability of Shimano motors as a one-off purchase.

Buy a Carbonda FM936 of FM909. Put whatever chainring on it you like. I won't tell anybody if you don't. Maybe need a chainring with a spacer to clear the chainstays. Maybe not.

I actually don't think there's a 1.5-1.5 integrated angleset available at all. The only integrated angleset I can think of is the 9.8 one and it's not going to do the 1.5 upper cup.

Maybe custom 9point8 Slack-R setup using two bottom cups.

Only the Ican sno4 FS fatbike. Great bike.  And in the summer you can run a separate set of 29er 40mm wheels/rims and put some 3.0 tires on the bike. Now that is some fun.

Offset eyelets for the shock mounts? Shorter cranks? A Slack-R headset insert will raise the stack height 10mm. Probably 5mm on BB. Considering that on y FM909 next spring.
