I recently broke the derailleur hanger on my Chinese carbon fat bike build.  My LBS can't match it or find a replacement.

Does anyone have any tips- besides contacting the manufacturer (which I've tried) to find a replacement?

I bought my frame on ebay from velocarbon.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-Carbon-Fatbike-Frameset-19-Snow-Bike-Frame-BB-Width-100mm-Rear-Space-190mm-/221989082179?hash=item33af949443

Any tips are greatly appreciated!

yep, this dropout  is available from our Iplay. you can send some pictures to me. maybe I can help you .

Yep, so sorry that big problem and trouble before!
Actually, I replied all email as quick as possible, excpet for the weekend.   I have to tell you guys, my wife and daughter locate in another city, about 200KM from Xiamen, and my daughter is only 3 years old, I have to go back to my home every weekend and take care of them. and it is not very convenient of the internet available.
you know, city to city , it is not easy love and family . but family is very important for me.
thanks all of you .

Hey all, new to this forum!

I bought a frame and rigid fork last June from XmiPlay (from bert, who was quite nice to work with). Frame came super fast, built up quickly and put about 1000 miles on it.

Then during a ride where my buddies were on cross bikes (so nothing crazy), I thought I had a flat in the rear but it turns out the frame failed at the seatstays/seattube interface. I'm not too heavy (160lbs) and have a dual suspension bike that I do stupid things on :)

Anyway, the IP256 I bought has a 2 year warranty. So I reach out to Bert who was "ready" to ship me a new bike, but as soon as I asked if I had to pay shipping, I've never got another email. Now 3 weeks later (and several emails to Bert), I've still not heard anything.

Has anyone here had any luck warrantying these frames?

(picture of failure here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5hmi6y9nf4fpfon/20151214_190739116_iOS.jpg?dl=0)

Hi, dear Aaron, how are you ? I know the warranty issue is delay, becasue the factory's technicist should discuss the problem. so sorry about it . but you should tell other guys I have send the new IP-256SL frame yet. and I believe you got it  yet.
Do you mind it ? thanks in advance.

29+ & 27+ / Re: Can 29er MTB frame assembled with 27.5er wheels?
« on: April 29, 2016, 12:11:26 AM »
:) you can do it ,  but what my sugestion is pleaes do not do like that. why the 29er frames be mounted with 29er wheelset ? because the control.
Honestly speaking, I used my 27.5er wheelset on my 26er frame, but it is not very comfortable to control it when you riding, especially when turning.
and like some guys said, the BB will be closer to the earth. it is easy to damage it .
anyway, it is a interesting idea.

Q2 cycling has frame/fork combo as well as wheels, but I heard that they can't ship to the USA.  I'm in Japan, so they are still on my "possible" list.

actually, In China ,the EMS express can send goods to almost all the countries now. it is no problem .

29er / Re: Should I get the 057 or 256??
« on: May 24, 2015, 11:49:15 PM »
Regardless if you chose IP-057 or IP-256, or even some other model, I highly recommend the following options when people order their frame:

Bottom bracket -->  My recommendation is to choose BSA if possible.
BSA has proven reliability, large bearing surfaces, works with most all crank options, no press tools required, far fewer instances of creaking or bearing problems.

UD/3K/12k carbon weave --> UD is said to be the lightest but is very plain looking (no weave), 3k is the typical, classic, tight carbon weave pattern and is what I like, 12k is a wide weave.  See picture below:

Matte/Glossy Finish:  This is personal preference, both look great.

Don't forget, many of the Chinese vendors will also paint your frame a custom color/pattern for around $75 extra.  Rather than getting a plain black frame, consider a custom paint job, they have some great colors available.

Two questions:

1.) My mechanic friend tells me PF30 is the better BB style to use.  Is it generally passed over by most due to needing press tools to install the cups/bearings?

2.) Are all of these bikes built with a UD base weave, then the top most layer is customized for the look of certain weaves?  I heard that UD was the strongest of the weaves, and thats why most new CF bikes are UD?

Hi, actually, ud is lighter than 3K,  it is hard to say ud and 3k which one is stronger. it is depend on the construction of frame. and most of  frames, we use 3k on the corner to strengthen the frame.

very cool bike, but I have a question, sorry, I should learning more knowledge of bike building, usually, the Sapim cx-ray spokes use for road wheelset, why don't  you choose the Sapim delta , and do you mind share the feeling after your riding ?
Thanks in advance.

This is IP-106 from Iplay , size 16/18/20'', 135 and 142 interchangeable , but for the size 18/20, when I build it , i found we should use  the rear disc brake line should be  155cm.  for example the Shimano's XT 135mm line is too short.
