We would have our CS-197 frame in all sizes in UD matt available soon in couple of weeks.

I ordered a 2nd set of wheels through Peter for my neighbor. This time with a slightly more silent hub.

From confirmation of order to receiving the wheels was around a month. Consistent with the last time. Order was placed half Feb, received halfway March.

Again great quality for a budget wheel + having a good few hundred miles on my wheels, no issues, super happy.

Thanks for your comment, bro.

Now we have the Custom high end 6 pawl 21/21H 2:1 center lock straight pull hubs carbon spokes option as well. Price range would be around 520 USD/pair - 560 USD/pair (2 options on hubs, 370g/pair and 330g/pair) on 33/38/44/45/50mm disc brake wheels, ceramic bearings cost extra 25 USD.

Is this the same Peter that was at XMIPlay in 2018?

If so, I still have 2 wheelsets you built and are kicking! Looking to build a third and was always hoping I would find you again... Please be true!
Yes, you are right, this is same Peter that was the co-owner of XMIplay.

Hi Peter,

Also interested in a set of 50mm deep a 28mm wide.

Can you quote for a set with steel spokes, 36t ratchet hub.

Also, are the wheels clincher/tubeless compatible?

Thanks
We offer Sapim CX-Ray / CX-Delta spokes options.

If you need 36T rachets hubs, then DT 350S hubs would be the right ones.

Yes, the rims are clincher /tubeless compatible.

If possible, please contact me via email.

Thanks a lot.
Peter

Hi Peter,

I‘m interested in following configuration:
- DC2844
- Disc (center lock)
- Chosen Hub
- Carbon Spokes
- Front Axle 12 / 100mm
- Rear Axle 12 / 148mm
- Shimano freehub

What would be the final weight of the wheelset ?
What would be price for the configuration and shipping (tax prepaid) to Germany?

Thanks in advance!

Eico

Edit: To compare can you please let me know weight and price for same configuration with DT240EXP and Sapim CX-Ray? Thanks!
Thanks for your inquiry. Email replied.

OH! thats helpful to know. That may work. I will keep a look out for 28mm rims.

We have 28mm outer width rims as attached as well, 45mm depth DC2545, 50mm depth DC2550. DC2545 weighs around 420g, DC2550 weighs around 450g

Hi Peter,

Interested in a set of rim brake 38mm with carbon spokes.
Tried emailing but haven't had a response - could you get in touch when you get a chance please.
Thanks a lot.

Thanks, I just saw your email, gmail account is not so convenient in China, we need to use VPN first. More convenient if sending to my foxmail email account

Component Deals & Selection / Re: 27.5 fat bike rims - carbon or alloy
« on: September 18, 2022, 02:35:39 AM »
I want to change my fat bike to 27.5 for this winter and just need to select some rims.

So far I’ve had a surprising amount of trouble finding good options…many are sold as compete wheels with terrible cheap hubs that won’t last a month under snow riding torque.

These are basically all I’ve found for carbon, $329/rim plus $50 shipping:

https://a.aliexpress.com/_EQ167DV

Most of the other options are SunRingle Mulefuts that I don’t particularly want; closed rims are a much better tubeless solution for intense riding in deep cold than ones with cutouts. I’m open to alloy on paper but most alloy fat bike rims have cutouts. And don’t even get me started on HED fat bike rims that I’d probably break in a few weeks. They’re designed for very light, very gentle riders and I am neither.

Hi there,

We have 27.5x80mm rim as attached available, and we can build the rims with DT 350S big ride hubs, Sapim CX-Ray spokes as what they look in the pictures

The split page doesn't work for me as well, so I reply here again. We have the hubs customized by Chosen hub factory, the technical drawing and pictures as attached for reference. The custom hubs with 36T rachets are not so stable, so we replace with Chosen ones.

29er / Re: Big brand OEM 29er rims on sale!!!
« on: September 16, 2022, 10:23:53 AM »
Long time no see Peter! My CS256-SL cracked just 2 weeks ago, I guess you don't make those anymore either?

Sorry to hear that your frame cracked after using for so many years lol. No, we don't do this frame anymore, you have to consider other options.

Or can you ask the hub supplier for a technical drawing of the hub? Normally hub suppliers will provide that info and we can see the bearings for it
Here are some pictures on the hubs
