Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Looking into carbon wheel, any suggestion?

I am thinking about getting a carbon wheelset, here's what I am thinking ...

- prefer light weight over aero, maybe 35mm profile max
- going to put 25mm tires on it and hoping for wider rims
- i am a bit worried about braking performance on carbon rim though, especially on long descent

Any suggestion? Or owner opinion?

For sale here is a Hylix Carbon Seatpost at 27.2mm x 400MM. The Post is in excellent like new condition with 0 road miles. The post is uncut and everything is original. The clear coat on the clamp was not done great, but its hidden when post is installed and does not affect the functionality.

I am looking for a set for XC and general trail riding for carbon HT.

Just XC, no drop offs ... :)

29er / 057 tire clearance for 2.25" or plus tires?

I am wondering how wide of rear tires and rims are people running with 057?

Will it have clearance issue with wide rims + tires?

Anybody tries 27.5+ on 057 frame?
