I just bought a frame from carbonspeed and had to choose axle while ordering. I was surprised with the setup myself. First Chinese frame for me and thought the dropout would of been threaded. They come with a nut that is locked in place with the little grub screw. It is a pain as it isn’t quick release.

Did you swap the front and rear brake lever position from the right to left ?

It is called "Moto style".
When I see the caliper on the left side of the front wheel.
And the strange shape the left front brake hose make.
I'm sometimes wondering if Moto style wasn't the initial setup.

Isn't this setup more common in countries that have car driving on the left ?

That's right, that's me I drive on the left down here in Australia. Got the bike out for a small ride today. First time on a bike in a couple of months. It feels really good, can't wait to give it a good shake down on some trails. Bike came in at 9.9kgs which surprised me as I didn't try to build this light. Will get a few more rides in first but I think I might end up changing to a 120mm fork.

I run front brake on the right. Always run this setup.

Frame arrived today. I’m really happy with the finish. Quality is top notch. Frame was packaged extremely well (better than brand name frames I’ve seen). Hope to have all parts in the next couple of days to get this thing build. Will post more photos soon.

Will get some photos up as soon as the frame arrives. Going to be a good little project for first build. If frame is good and holds up well, I’ll be doing a 29er dually latter in the year. I am keeping an eye on your frame build and can’t wait to see it all together.

Update-New wheels ordered. Found some mavic crossride sl’s for a bargain price so will go that way.

The wheel choice is what I already have. This will be my first build done on my own. I have had bikes built for me in the past. Thought it was time to build one for myself. A lot of the parts I had in stock. It was going to be a 1  10 build with what I had but got a great deal on a new groupset. I may go a different way with wheels, I no chain reaction has some great deals on dt Swiss wheels at the moment.

That looks like it's going to be a great build. Very similar build to the CS406 I'm building. Do you already have the fork? If not, Jenson has them for $299 right now.

I did pick up the fork from Jenson to good of a deal to not buy. Will be good to see the difference a couple of years makes advancement wish. I have to older fox factory ctd 100 on my hardtail 29er.

Hi peoples,
I just ordered one of these frames from peter at carbon speed. Just wondering if anyone has built one of these frames and can give me your thoughts. Will use this thread as a build thread but don’t no how long before I will see the frame.
