Might take a while to post video and pictures, but I rode the infamous FLOW Trail in Santa Cruz on my fill rigid 057.

What nobody tells you is that it requires nearly 1000 ft of climbing to get to the top, then another 1000 back to the trail head from the bottom.

While I don't see specific markings on the tire stating Snake Skin, I'm pretty sure that's what I had ordered.  This is the 3rd Burt I've had on here.  The first lasted about 500 miles, and was worn out.  The second, lasted about 2-300, got a couple cuts in the sidewall that I couldn't seal, so replaced.

These are a BITCH to mount on my 35mm wide rims 29x2.1, they just don't spread out far enough without doing the install with a tube to seat the bead.  Even after that, it's still a bitch to get the second side to seat after removing the tube.  Either the 2.25 or a 30m wide rim would work better.

Decided to take a few pictures before I did some cleaning.  My 057 is about 3 years old, probably has about 1000 miles on it, actually, probably less....  Most everything is great, she occasionally develops a creek here or there, that a cleaning, tightening takes care of.  Recently I bypassed the standard internal shift routing for a full length housing and things are shifting much better, better than New, I think I had a kink in the internal housing that caused me issues.

Anyway, this was the full custom pinstriping/wood grain, etc.  I didn't do any protective tape, and I don't care.  I planned to ride it and ultimately show the wear and tear.

I have this DT Swiss axle on the rear.

I was thinking this axle would work, it's 4mm shorter than the current axle, but haven't been able to find a nut with the correct thread.

Apparently my torque wrench isn't working in anti-clockwise, because I promptly snapped the replacement bolt.

I thought the first was due to fatigue if being on/off a few times.

So now to find another bolt locally...  This one took 40 minutes of searching at the store.

I've had my 057 for almost 3 years now and decided to do a little extra maintenance, well not much, but it turned into a major pita.

Initially I was just changing grips and cable on my xx1 gripshift.  I had always had issues with shifting in a couple years, which I thought was due to a kink in the shift cable.

Upon inspection, etc, I found the internal routing tube seemed to be damaged, so I began routing a full length cable housing.   It was quite a pita to get the full cable through the frame and into the hole in the frame.

Additionally, the shifter body was broken where the adjuster threads in.  This piece is held on with a screw, but Sram doesn't sell it.

I ended up glueing the part together, running the cable and everything seems to shift better.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of my issues, in all the work I took the crank off in attempts to get batter access in the BB area (forgot it didn't give any access), well, when reinstalling the crank, the bolt snapped..  the only plus is, it didn't harm anything else and didn't get stuck, so now I need to pick up a new bolt before I can ride it again.

Pretty sure mine stops at the bottle cage screws.  Best would probably be to just shorten the seaport.  Usually there's more issue with a post being to short and not having enough material in the frame.

I have my 057 with rigid fork and shopping for new axle.  The original China axle lever is bending, so I want to go DT swiss, but not sure which is the correct one.

Anyone have one already and know which is the right one?

Have raced it quite a bit, it's plenty fast,  but I'm not strong/fast enough.  I'm running a 34t oval and find it works well.  Only occasionally do I wish for a smaller front ring, usually when I haven't ridden for a while.

You didn't mention those requirements.

I looked around a lot for something like you're asking about.

Nothing quite fits as of 2 months ago.  As mentioned the CS-001 has all the right dimensions, except axle spacing and quality factor.

Closest fit currently is actually a Fat Frame.  Cs-001 from Carbon Speed

I was looking for a plus frame for my father,  something similar to Sanata Cruz Hightower, Rocky Mtn Pipeline.  He ended up finding a Hightower on sale, it's an awesome bike to ride.

If he hadn't found the Santa Cruz on sale, probably would have built a CS-001 as a 27.5+.
