If you run a 1x drive train, there are enough holes.
By hijacking one of the derailleur cabling.

BSA is generally a closed aluminium shell and you won't be able to guide the hose from the down tube, up to the seat tube around the BB with your fingers.

You beat me to it.
But to add to it, the BSA version on mine has some cut outs.

Yes and no at the same time. If you get creative it can but it isn't made for it. I have the BSA bb version and the sleeve that is pressed in for the BB has some cut outs in it. So you could possibly run it down the seat tube, then up the down tube and have it exit on the right side were the front derailleur cable would enter. The removable cable ends (not sure what they are called) that are screwed into the frame and included with the frame are aluminum and easily drilled out to fit the larger hose. I drilled mine out to allow for a full length of cable housing.

BTW, tt's hard to go wrong with the RS Pike fork.  It's probably the best fork I've ever ridden.

I agree with this. The only trouble I'm having is finding a 29+ version at a price I can justify. My SC 5010 and my wife's SC TB3 both have Pikes and both have been flawless.

18.3 pounds. That is what mine weights ready to ride with the rigid fork back on. Just in case you were wondering.  ;)

Component Deals & Selection / Re: Maintain a front DT240 hub

That's odd that you have to unscrew the endcap. I've only used 350's but I thought that all the endcaps were just pushed on. If the endcap is screwed onto the axle, it looks like you still could tap the axle / endcap assembly out with a soft hammer.

Otherwise, I would shoot an email to their tech support. I have always had extremely good responses from their customer service. Last week I emailed them about getting some 350 decals as there aren't any aftermarket ones like there are for the 240's and I didn't want to put 240s stickers on a 350 hub. They sent some right out to me, free of charge!

Either way, good luck with the bearing swap.

As I mentioned some time ago, what happens to this guy applies to us as well. Chiner bikes are "cheap" to built but the resell value is very low. If you decide to drop a lot of cash in wheels, drivetrain, components on a Chiner frame then you end up with a fantastic bike to ride but you should not try to sell it then! Just ride it

I definitely agree with this. I always try to remember that and plan accordingly. One of the main reasons my daughters build is with the intention of swapping just the frame in the future. I won't be selling the complete bike.

26er & 27.5 (650b) / Re: 14" 26er FM-M001 build
« on: December 01, 2016, 06:59:35 AM »
I have updated the build a bit. After a couple of emails with DT Swiss, I got the make up of the M1800 wheels. Hubs are 350's, rims are M480's, and spokes are DT Comp's. They are sending me some new 350 hub decals (want to get the M1800 decals off of the hubs) and I have the Crest rims on the way. The ERD is the same on both rims so not having to get more spokes makes it easier on the wallet, and so does finding some brand new in the wrapper rims on eBay for $45 shipped per pair. The rims are a bit narrow for my liking but with the 350 hubs and DT Comp spokes, it's a pretty solid build and should drop well over a half pound of rim weight for $45. So after springing for the Sapim Double Head self locking aluminum nipples in the bling color of yellow, I'll be into the wheels for $261.

Now just to find some chinese carbon 27.5 rims with an ERD of 540 so I can keep using the hubs and spokes as she grows into a 27.5 bike.

29+ & 27+ / Re: Muffin Top (AKA Workswell WCB-M-078 Plus frame)
« on: November 30, 2016, 11:20:54 AM »
Nope. No sliding or adjustable dropouts. There are two positions but the shorter one won't fit 29+ wheels so that isn't an option. The best option is probably going for an EBB.

I was leaning towards a BSA.  Going to use a Next SL crankset.

What is your plan for keeping tension on the chain?

I have been very pleased with my WW-062 frame. The head angle is 70.5 with the 100mm Sid that's currently installed. It's based around a 71 degree head angle with a 90mm (497mm A2C) fork which is pretty much spot on with the Specialized Stumpjumper. With the rigid fork that came with it, it's somewhere between 71.5 and 72.

Yup! I'm running my Workswell 062 as a singlespeed. I do wish I would have went with a BB30 instead of the BSA so I could have used and EBB instead of the chainguide as a tensioner but it works. And I wasn't planning on using it as a SS when I ordered the frame. It's at 20.4 pounds with XT trail pedals and a RS Sid front fork. I'm thinking of putting the rigid fork back on for the winter months and that should put it right at 18 pounds or so.

Minor update. I updated the first post as a couple of things have changed and all the parts are on their way. A different stem will be used than what is pictured.

This is odd and not good. I have 2 of their frames and have had great luck with communicating with them. There was a mix up between two of them when they shipped my plus bike but they honored the original agreement and got it fixed in a timely manner. I hope they can get their stuff together because I really do like their frames. The geo on most of their stuff is a little more modern than the rest of the vendors.
