This has become my full time frame. I built a Tideace frame , FM-R185  bought on eBay,  they were very easy to deal with ,  i got XL frame , 59 cm, fits perfect, came with bb 386  and headset both fit well. I had it partially painted with decals to match and all shipped to USA for $500.00 which was $425.00 for the bike and $75.00 for painting and decals,  all in matte.  And no tariff in USA.  Took about 30 days from order date to receive.
I have TRP hy/rd flat mount brakes on it, 160 mm in front and 140 mm in back, these are  cable actuated hydraulic brake, love the brakes.  Set up  1X11 ,  50 11/28 right now.
It also has toseek carbon stem, toseek carbon bar 440mm and Light Bicycle 56 mm wheels with schwalbe pro one tires 700X28 running tubeless with Pillar bladed spokes 28 hole and novatec 791/792 hubs, both are bolt thru and cable with the thru axles, 12X100 and 12X142.   I haven't weighed it but its light.  All the rest of drive train is shimano 105.  I use shimano spd pedals and have a Fabric Cell saddle.
The only issue to date has been the aero seat post.  I found by putting a layer of thin tape once around the frame that gives removes any play and slippage coupled with good fiber grip paste, i like both Park tool and finish line.  Most bikes both big manufacturer and open mold with aero posts deal with slippage problems.

TRP HY/RD brakes are cable actuated Hydraulic brakes.  The hydraulic reservoir is at the brake caliper rather than in the hose.  They actually modulate better than my full hydro brakes.  Tideace said would work with hydraulic cables but i haven't tested yet.

I'd think if you could find a shock that was tuned for a Giant Trance or an Evil the following you'd find just about the right tune but most any fox dps trunnion 165X42.5 will do.  I put a Giant tuned performance 165X38 DPS on my Scott spark and it is an amazing shock that is super forgiving, plush and feels never ending!  I can switch between settings manually but find myself using open for when I'm bombing sections and medium when i'm traversing roads, climbs, etc, rarely do i put in firm , because it feels bouncy.

Ty at Diycarbonbikes.com states their DCBF110 Scott Spark Style frame if ordered in trunnion mount version can accept a 165X45 mm shock with NO clearance issues.

Most manufacturers have a 165X45 at 120mm of suspension and 165X40 and 110  so that leave 165X42.5 at 115.  115 to me would be fine with 130 mm fork in front.  Similar to Giant Trance 29..a decent trail bike.

diycarbonbikes.com lists this frame which looks similar and sells in both a regular 165X38 version and a trunnion version.

With the Carbonda frame some riders said the 45 fit on it but the top of the shock linkage was close to touching the seat tube.

I'm most interested in how you got a trunnion shock to work?  Don't trunnion shocks have 10mm hardware and the mounts on these are based around 8mm hardware? you say you made your own hardware?  i think this is one of the reason people have shied away from most of the open mold full sus frame that advertise the ability to use a trunnion shock.

I like the look of the dengfu 308, road disc with max 28C tire,  prefer to go to a 30 or more tire, the carbonda gravel looks good to but the dengfu would be good for road ride and race.
