Can you email the place you purchased the frame from?

Most likely it's just a standard 12x148 Boost axle.

I use a Saris Superclamp EX Rack, works fine with 3.0" wide tires.  The Saris Freedom rack will work as well, if you are looking to spend less money.  You can also find the Saris rack discounted online.  If you get a Saris, make sure it has the wider cups to accommodate plus/fat tire bikes.  I've also noticed the weight of the Saris racks are less than most of the other popular brands.

His last reply to me, which was a few days ago mentioned something about having surgery recently.  He wasn't specific but it seems there was a time where he wasn't able to answer emails for a few days.

Vendor Discussion & Reviews / Re: Opinions on flyxii

Flyxii has been around for more than a few years, I looked at them when I bought my first Chiner frame, however, I'd still recommend going to Peter Xu at XMcarbonspeed.com and see if he can get you something similar, at a fair price while offering battery customer service than I'd expect from Flyxii.

I think there are more posts about Flyxii on MTBR.com if you care to go and do some research.

Frame just looked dated, not modern looking at all.

And SRAM brakes, why would anyone not choose Shimano XT/XTR brakes on a new mountain bike?   ;D ;D ;D

Either way, I hope he doesn't lose his shorts on trying to make a new brand work with only one model bike to start.

You might want to look at the RWC needle bearings for the rear shock

It's cool to see someone make a video of going to the Taiwan bike show and talking to some people in the industry.

I guess a Taiwanese frame is much more expensive than a Chinese frame as well.  It really doesn't surprise me that the big brands have someone there full time checking and maintaining QC in the factory.

On the other hand, I think if a couple of guys really wanted to start a new bike brand, and had about 250,000 USD to invest in it, it can still be done.

LOL, it's nice to have choices, but it's also nice to have simplicity in your life.

Nice deal and bike! A good relationship with an lbs is great!

I have the same Maxxis tires on mine.
Did you try various pressure yet?
I settled at 3 bar(43psi) for now, but don’t know what would be the best.

Not a scientific test.
But they look as well to roll better on hard pack than my friends’ tired(Clement and Specialized), when going down coasting
And not by a small margin.
And they are heavier than me.

Yes, the bike came with Maxxis Rambler tires, I suppose they are good, I've not tried to vary the pressure yet, I've only had two short rides on the bike.  I just received a set of XTR pedals and installed them yesterday.  I need to make a few adjustments on the seat position/angle.  I did find a great place to ride it though, there is a state park near me that has an inner loop that's wide and fairly smooth dirt/sand double track, and goes around a beautiful lake.  I'll have to take some pictures next time I'm there.  It's about an 8-9 mile loop and it's fairly fun, you even ride through some camping areas where you smell people grilling steak and such.

I'll try setting my pressures around 42/43psi on my next ride.  I'm sure if I ride on pavement I could bring the pressures up, but I would be guessing on what pressure is good for the road.

Definitely a nice looking plus bike apctjb, you should try out some 3.0 29+ tires (Chupacabras), it will make the bike feel like it can roll over anything.

I've had a couple sets of Chinese Carbon wheels, for the price, I have no complaints.  They held up very well.

The results of the cross sectional study were surprising.

I've not been in this thread for a while.  It's like the Olympics!  Lots of countries represented.
