Yeah.. I don't really mind some advertising, I mean.. if I had a website, I'd for damn sure throw up some ads. but mtbr is getting a little ridiculous with it's pop up ads and complete lack of mod involvement.

That said.. I bet they make a killing so, I'm not hatin!

...(which fork you like better is something I'll request you speak to)...

I'd also be interested to hear which fork you prefer and why.

This is highly relevant to my interests.

Currently on aluminum 26er hardtail! So, of course, anything will be a huge upgrade. Can't lie.. I REALLY want that 036, but I genuinely don't think I'll need it with the trails that I ride and the carbon and the 29 inch wheels.. Still unsure..  but I've def decided against a fat bike for now.

Either way, I'll certainly be following this thread. Just having the pics alone is enough to keep me interested. Between this and the 057 build thread.. got some potentially great threads growing here. A lot of people are asking questions about these bikes, these could be valuable resources.

I'm interested in these rims for sure. Will most likely be building a full carbon fat bike soon, and I've ridden one and really liked it, but to each his own.

Pretty sure you pull those out but wait til someone confirms that.

I really like you build list and seeing as how I plan on building my own fairly soon... I'll def be following the thread and look forward to seeing the final product!

Component Deals & Selection / Re: SRAM XX1 1x11 Discussion

I agree that Shimano dropped the ball. I know they have a long history of providing solid products, but they have slipped up before.

It's just like they completely ignored what the market/riders were demanding. Guess we'll see but as soon as I saw the XTR offering I decided to go SRAM xx1 1x11 all the way. They nailed it with this grouppo.
