Yeah...that's definitely an issue with more than just the paint. Crazy if the shipping box wasn't damaged and LC sent it out like that.

I personally don't like the work "Cheap" to describe a carbon frame.   Perhaps you should change the title to "Best Value Ultralight Hardtail Carbon Frame.   Cheap, to me, implies low cost, often low quality, and having less value.

what kind of hardware comes with the group? ltwoo er9 comes with well over a dozen different bolts for the brakes, as well as 140 & 160 adaptors for both front and rear. In contrast it seems that shimano really skimps on hardware, which i find so incredibly $hitty of them.

Enough to screw the caliper to adapter and adapter to frame  No spares.

Linsook.  Welcome to the club.   Weather permitting, I will start riding my gravel bike 100+miles a week.  Get yours going soon, so we can collect data, present it, and show those ltwoo er9 owners that Wheeltop has the better product!   ;D

 ;D sounds like a plan

29er / Cheap Chinese Carbon 29er?

Hi everybody,

I like the idea of the ultralight, 1 X 11 carbon 29er frame/fork, drop bars, and hydraulic discs. Combined with a good set of lightweight wheels and tubeless tires, I've heard it's possible to build a machine that weighs under 8kg.

(bump posts to get past broken page 12)

I'm looking at options for a light to mid travel trail bike, does the LCFS958 still make since in 2024? The stack/reach and head tube angle are a bit dated but not awful. I've used that FM1001 for a couple of builds and its fine, just doesn't inspire excitement for me. I'd also rather not over fork an XC frame (i.e. not an FM936/909, LCFS918, etc.).
