Frame with clearance for 46T chainring
« on: November 16, 2024, 12:27:59 AM »
Hi all,

I have been looking around this forum for a while and almost pressed the button for a frame a few times. Almost only, as I always seem to get stuck with a 46T chainring…

I am looking for something with a race-ish geometry. Doesn’t need to be full road like, but I don’t bikepack, very few centuries etc.so I prefer to go towards the sportier geometries.
Other requirements are quite simple: need to work with Shimano 1x11 with a 46T oval chainring, have a threaded BB, clearance for 40mm tires and preferably internal cable routing.
My last close call was the Ican Graro, but failed on the chainring :-[

Any input is most appreciated!
Andreas

I run a 46T 1X on the Tideace Noah with a Magene P505 base. I use a small spacer just to give a little more space from the chainstay.

I ride a 46T on my Carbonda 505, a gravel that becomes a road bike by just changing the tires

Thanks, both of you.

I am leaning towards the Tide Ace Noah, only have to settle on the size…

+1 for Carbonda 505SL, I've run it up to 50T in the mud without issues/damage.
