My second Waltly? A travel bike...maybe.

I'm in the process of pricing out a second Waltly frame. Below are the design criteria I'm working out the details on:

  • Travel all-road frame with a Ritchey Breakaway-style dual-seatpost clamp coupler and an S&S-style downtube coupler
  • Internal rear brake hose routing with a Zeno Q-connector at the S&S coupler
  • T-47 external BB
  • UDH
  • Carbon fork with semi-internal (entry at fork crown) brake hose routing and 40mm tire clearance
  • Stack to allow for my personal fit with no headset spacers (this means a longer head tube)
  • Reach to allow for my personal fit with a 110mm stem
  • Generous front-center 600+mm
  • Relaxed geometry (slack seattube angle and angled toptube to allow for maximum seatpost extension for compliance)

This bike would likely get 650b wheels with (probably) Rene Herse 42mm or 48mm slicks so that the wheels will fit in an S&S hardshell case. There will probably be Zeno Q-couplers at the handlebars for cockpit removal, and a Problem Solvers headset locking headset spacer (for which 8mm would be subtracted from the headtube length) to maintain headset preload when the bars are removed.

Thoughts?
