Author Topic: Looking(quite desperatly...) for this frame. Anyone knows where to get it ?  (Read 8933 times)

With the winter coming, the idea of building a Gravel is coming back.
Last year I dropped it as I didn't find a right frame.

Here is one that I really like:
A picture from Taipei Cycle Show 2017 https://froomeycyclistfriends.blogspot.be/2017/03/gravel-gallery-from-taipei.html

And a picture from this link https://www.bikerumor.com/2017/03/02/boyd-cycling-goes-wide-w-new-650b-gravel-wheels-plus-prototype-2018-sneak-peeks/  with an interesting twist on wheels for a gravel

It has a tall headtube, short chainstays, the room for 40mm or 650B tires, and I find it particularly good looking :)

Peter was considering it last year but preferred to go with another model.

There is a web site that sells it $branded$, but it looks only for the US.

Anyone knows where to find it ?
Did someone already contacted Carbonage ? An email?
I only found a phone number, I'm too shy to call, so far http://www.wheelgiant.com.tw/publication/tbs/en_sup_data.asp?type=overseas&para1=CN&para2=0011&para3=China-Shenzhen&sup=005308

Here's an alternate.  Different look, but similar numbers, even shorter mainstays.

I don't have one, but this is the way I'd go if I was allowed another bike at this time.

Thank you @325racer for the Carbonda info, it is exactly what I needed !

Searching for more details about these builds( Google Image search is amazing to find related pages of a picture )
I found this forum with a ton of information about these gravel frames: http://ridinggravel.forumchitchat.com/post/chinese-carbon-gravel-build-carbonda-8254658

Welcome.

There looks to be a bunch of these out there, once you start searching.

As mentioned, if I was allowed to build another bike at the moment, this is what I'd be building.

I'd probably build a hybrid MTB/Road groupset.  Probably a mix of Ultegra and XT, essentially an Ultegra cockpit and front mech, with road brakes, then an XT Rear Mech and cassette.

If you build one, make sure you keep us updated.

Only issue I'm reading about is some sestpost rocking and cracking.  Not sure if they are related.

If I remember well, the clamp seems quite bad.
But it is too late to change  :D

Nice, definitely want to follow that build.
