3D Printed Saddles

Has anybody tried any of the AliE 3D printed saddles? A little expensive to buy on a whim to try, especially the one below that's around $170. But still way cheaper than Specialized or Fizik offerings. Curious how they feel.

I personally don't like riding on a plastic surface.  There are several under 200 gram carbon saddles that have some small padding and real leather on top. 
I would only want to ride on a saddle like this in good weather.  If there is any road grit or mud around it will fill up all those tine holes.  Yuck!

Thats actually a very good point that I didn't realize earlier.
Also for a full carbon the weight seems a lot? I bought one of those carbon+cushion saddles that weighs about 127 grams. It is rather comfortable and does not feel like its superlight carbon saddle while riding. got this Ryet Aircode 3D for 1wk, it's too soon to say anything but initial impressions are good. The brand got me wishing to risk it, because other 3d saddles offering in Aliexpress don't look that trustworthy, this at least got 1yr warranty (at least it says it does...)

I was using a Mixed 5D for bit over 1yr and was really good for a long time, until it wasn't anymore (last 2 months or so), think the padding lost resistance overtime

From a ventilation standpoint these 3D printed matrixes make a lot of sense.  From a cushioning / load bearing standpoint I think they make very little - the kind of foam being used on SQ Labs' new 'Infinergy' models is going to be way better at cushioning and load spreading than any of these 3D prints ever will be.  Modern gels likewise.  But if you get soreness due to a soaked chammy then they could be what you're looking for.

So I tried the saddle from WestBiking and just didn’t get along with it. The fat part sits a little more rearward than my Power saddles, so I couldn’t get it in the right spot. It was too far back. And my VB 168 frame doesn’t have a zero setback option. I also tried a Romin Mirror and had the same issue with positioning. So it’s now sitting in the garage if anybody wants to buy it at a super discount. Tempted by the Ryet but 150 might be too wide.

Saddles seem more like a personal thing. Some shapes and materials work for some, but might not work for others. For the price though, I think the Lexon/Ryet 3D saddles are a good price to try them out. At least from a build POV, the carbon shell and rails are a step up from some of the cheaper carbon saddles. Also bike geometry does affect the fit from my experience using the same saddle, but different bike. If you don't like it, sell it or gift it to someone!

The Ryet has worked well for me so far approx 200km. Doing a 12hr ride soon so will see how it holds up.

Oh for sure. The Power Mirror is my all time favorite saddle. But it’s pricey. So I was hoping to finding a cheaper replacement. But the issues with both the WestBiking and Romin Mirror make me think it’s the shape (they’re similar) rather than anything else. There is a Power Mirror copy on AliEx that looks promising. I may just give it a try.

I'm having the same problem. I have to put my saddle all the way forward on my bikes if there is no 0-setback seatpost option. And the carbon saddle all have very short rails that makes it impossible to slide them forward enough...
I have been thinking about using autocad and side view pictures to compare saddles to the one I have that does work

There's a 3d printed carbon saddle on AliX trending at 50USD shipped to Europe. The metal one is 30-40 from memory.

That Ryet Aircode is really good. Did 100km on my very stiff hardtail mtb with it last sunday and it was way more comfortable than the Fizik Antares R1 Versus Evo it replaced. It builds quite far forward though, I'm running it pushed all the way back on it's rails.

I rode my two bikes this week, one with a Ryet 3D printed carbon saddle and the other with a regular carbon padded saddle. It's been about 95 degrees (35 celsius) where I live so it's been quite hot. The regular carbon saddle in the beginning is more comfortable to sit on, but after an hour into the ride it gets less comfortable, you notice more friction as you move on the saddle and the padded material heats up from the sun making it quite hot. The 3D saddle feels less comfortable in the beginning, but the longer you ride the more your sit bone begins to adapt. Also the sun doesn't heat up the saddle as you're sitting, keeping your posterior quite cool.

I think I'm beginning to lean towards 3D printed saddles as the go-to saddle. Besides the slight weight penalty, at least for the conditions I ride in, the benefits outweigh the cons.
