Should I get the workswell WCB-M-062 or Thrust BRMF-01
« on: September 04, 2018, 11:24:23 AM »

hello, sorry for my bad English, I want to buy a carbon frame to build a xc bike, but I don't  know which of these two is the best.

the first (http://www.workswellbikes.com/PRODDUCT/MTB/XC/20170117/16.html)
the second (https://it.aliexpress.com/item/2017-THRUST-Promotion-29er-Mountain-Bike-Carbon-Frame-29-MTB-frame-2-Years-Warranty-Full-Carbon/32790367666.html)

Welcome Nicolò !

Workswell's 62 frame is very good. It is heavily "inspired" by a Specialized Stumpjumper model few years old.
It has a short chainstay, so very playful if you like that.

I found the rear a bit too flexy when sprinting.
But it seems I'm the only one to complain about it  ;)

A couple of riders here, reported a crack on the seat tube after a few years of riding.
And it seems that when you get into trouble, Workswell's customer service is quite bad to non-existant.
I have one, as my B bike. Currently lent to a heavier friend than me, that is beating the hell of it, and the frame resists well.

The other frame is a quite popular model, many copies/sellers exist.
I've built two from Tideace: http://www.haidelibikes.com/product/showproduct.php?id=78
They sell it too, under the M009 model.
I found it a very nice frame, good price and light.
Very good paint job, and sales relationship.
Except maybe a very limited room for a chainring bigger than 32T( 34T fits, but no much room ).
And it flexes less when sprinting than the 062.

Just look around this forum and you will find references for both frames.

In conclusion you'll be very happy with both frames.
If you can just order a carbon fork that matches the bike and color( if you paint it ).
The fork is about $90, and is well worth the money.
Either to ride it when your fork is on maintenance, or if you want a crazy light bike.

A problem is more about bad luck, than frames here being generally bad.
Brand frames get troubles too, but here we are our own importer and get to deal with the hassle, instead of just bringing it back to the shop.

If you are worried about warranty, the only one who seems to really care after his clients is Peter( petercycles@foxmail.com ) at http://xmcarbonspeed.com/
It maybe a bit more expensive sometimes, but you can be sure that if there is a manufacturing defect it will get sorted out.
