Here are the brakes:

Nice find!
I'm collecting references of good and cheap parts, to make cheaper bikes, than I usually build.
This looks to be the brakes ! I look forward for your test impressions.

Are there bleed nipples / screws on them or not?

Would be a heck of a job without them! There is a bleed screw. It's the aluminum T10 screw, upper right of the caliper in this photo.

I don't have the size/thread pitch yet but it is likely possible you could add a nipple instead. I guess because it's just mineral oil, a rag would do over a nipple? I'm coming from cars and motorcycles, so I have a learned fear of brake fluid touching anything.

I'm heading out next weekend (10 days) and I'll put the front caliper on my hardtail and do some testing. I'm very curious as to whether or not they'll actually stop a bike.

Pulled the trigger on some wheels for the build today. I'm going to build up a set with:

Light Bicycle AM733 32H rims (27.5 40mm outer, 36mm inner, ~460g)
Bitex BX211 front and rear hubs (6 bolt brakes, boost spacing, 276g rear, 141g front
Sapim D-light spokes (~310g)
Sapim brass nipples (~61 g)

Should end up somewhere in the ballpark of 1750g, not too bad for USD 705.50 all in. That said, I have to lace them but I'm ok with that.
I just couldn't get over paying 3x for CX-ray spokes. Maybe sometime down the line.

Hubs, spokes, nipples from bikehubstore.com, rims straight from light bicycle.

@northup, did you ask for the price of a wheelset to LB ?
I'm almost sure you would have it built and shipped for that price.

I noticed buying spokes and hubs here and rims there was more expensive.
Not counting building them myself, instead of just insure an even tension, as I do now.

Pillar spokes have a flat version too, and are cheaper than cx-ray
Pillar nipples don't age well compared to SAPIM's.

I did ask, though they said they didn't stock Bitex hubs, and I didn't want to pay for I9 or 240s for this wheelset. If I decide I really love 27.5x2.6-2.8 on this bike then I may swap out the hubs. I don't mind building wheels, it's peaceful.

Part of it was also information overload. I had a hard time finding one supplier to have all the options, and put together a wheel I wanted, so after going back and forth with a few different companies, I decided to just buy the rims from LB. Once I had the rims on the way, I sorted out the rest and it's on the way to my door.

I may not have min/maxed perfectly, or found the optimal combination of high quality, low price, and good labor, but it's done and I don't want to hunt anymore :)

Alright, so I got confirmation that production of the FM10 in XL is complete!! It's going out for paint (the matte finish), then they expect to be shipping it in 10-12 days. I'm not holding my breath for that estimate, but almost all the other parts are here so I'm ready to get started. To curb my excitement, I'll share a final parts list with each part weighed on my scale and see what we're looking at for a ballpark weight. Shooting for 27lbs, but the internet specs rarely tell the real story. That, and I have NO idea what the XL frame will weigh.

Really?  That's good to hear. I saw those on Wednesday and was joking with him that I had found his next set of brakes, he complains about his rear xt every other week. What pads do they take?

Haha amazing. These squeeze the calipers, so we'll see how things shake out.

Okay, I think this is the final parts list for the time being. I've got almost everything except the frame and the tires so I doubt it will change (much).

Sitar_ned, if you want to move this over to 27.5, I decided to stick with the smaller wheels and see how the frame fares with the flip chip on high and the 185 shock

Alright, I received confirmation of shipping today, so now the long wait to see when it arrives. I also grabbed a ZTTO ceramic bottom bracket for the bike.
