Oneup's dropper has the shortest insertion and you can also get a low stack saddle like the Nukeproof horizon enduro saddle (also know as "Sam Hill enduro" with oil slick rails). Shorter cranks and thicker pedals will give you more clearance as well.

After riding a few times, so far, I think getting the 170mm lyrik was the right decision. with the 40mm stem set low, it lifts up the bb enough so I don’t get pedal strikes and I have enough weight on the front to keep the front wheel down during climbs. It feels stable during descent but that’s about it,  not enough time to do anything else since the trails got flooded in some sections and there’s a section where the landslide made it impossible to pass - I do know that I probably need to add volume spacers in the rear shock coz the shock was bought used from a guy who took it off from his evil following. Right now it feels too planted/linear.

I think it's the same
Good point for this frame

Is there a frame like this in existence, from a Chinese manufacturer, with a modern geometry and good kinematics, but without the ridiculously small seatpost insertion and limited shock compatibility?
I was so stoked when I learned of it's existence, the short seatpost travel I could live with (150 Oneup could fit for my 80cm inseam) but when I read that the Mara shock with king can doesn't fit, it made the frame useless to my eyes.
I know of the Ican p9, unfortunately the reach is too short for my liking, sizing up isn't an option because of the long seat tube, plus I was unable to find any kinematics.values for it

FM1002 / FM1166 Looks pretty good. Has my interest definitely. Also the AM 830 Pivot clone or the AM831 Santa Cruz clone look pretty good. FM1001 / FM1156 for a little shorter travel version looks good.

FM1002 / FM1166
Seems like a good option for someone who needs a bike to go down well in natural, chunky terrain with no large drops, for me it's not progressive enough unfortunately, and not enough anti squat- I don't want to use the lockout switch.

I'm not a fan of clones, and more importantly- the BB is too low in those, I need to run the bike with 27.5 wheels.
Thanks for the reply either way.

The LCFS947 is a fantastic bike.  It climbs really well, especially on technical climbs, and its really stable on descends. The short insert for dropperpost is a "problem", bit you can use a 150 mm dropper, if you choose the right one. And its not a clone, its a original design by Light Carbon, and a good one.

The killer thing for me is the inability to use the shock I want with his frame, 150mm drop Oneup post I could live with (though 180 is much appreciated with my shortish legs). If you're not as picky as I am for suspension choice, this frame is an awesome option, modern geo, good kinematics etc.
@edit Unless there were changes made to the original design? I see this picture with a coil shock, while the site says not compatible (not enough space).
@edit 2 ;P looked through the thread, now that I'm logged in, there are pictures, the clearance issue is different than I imagined, don't think a Mara can be made to fit, another issue is trunnion shock availability, even if it did fit.

Can anybody measure and tell me the minimum distance (with a fully inserted post for this frame) from center of bottom bracket to the top of a fully extended 150mm dropper post for a medium frame? I am interested in this frame, But I am not sure if I would be able to make it work.

Looks like many other Horst Link style frames with a vertical shock linkage. Like Many Norco and Transition models. Or even the older model Rocky Mountain Slayer, which many people speak highly of.  Where do you find the shock compression progressivity chart of this frame?  Also, where is the anti squat chart for this frame?

I believe I found it in the thread dedicated to that frame.

Am I missing something? The bike (FM 1002/ FM 1166) has just over 100% anti Squat at 30mm shock compression. Which is somewhere near a normal riders sag preload. And the leverage ratio IS quite progressive up until the 130mm shock compression range. Then the leverage ratio falls back a little bit to the 150mm mark. But even there the leverage ratio remains acceptable. I may be interested in either of these bikes (FM1002 / FM1166 or LCFS 947). The LCFS 947 seems as if it would be a great choice if it works for me. But as I have mentioned, nobody will tell me the (LCFS 947) distance from the bottom bracket center to the top of a 150mm dropper post set at it's exteneded position and with the post inerted as far as it will comfortably go into the seat tube. If this wont work for me due to basic design flaws, then the FM 1002/ FM 1166 seems like a maybe good option.

Hi !
I just read yur message, and i received today a few hours ago my LCFS947 ! totaly happy with quality and finition. I just have to make a nice paint  :)

I have the L size, and i have inseam about 81cm. I bought an 150mm dropper Oneup V2. I just see the toal height as yu asked, and it is about 68 cm (for me it is totally ok), it is height from center of BB to base of saddle. I put some photos :

I hope it help yu !
Best regards
