New here, just wondering anyone tried doing a full internal cable routing on this frame or any other with FSA's ICR headset or similar.

You could, no reason you couldn't. My Fox 36 has plenty of room for that. I was going to run a OneUp EDC stem just so I wouldn't have to set a star nut, but no one would ship me a real one. So I have a regular OneUp, and a starnut. . .

But if  you want fully internal, go that way. It seems very seperate from the rest of the frame design, more dependent on Fork choice. The frame is intended for a 160 mm, tapered fork. So, like I said, plenty of room in mine, just not something I even thought about.

Quick update on the seat stay nut issue: I've just received a replacement from LightCarbon and they've updated the design to fix the issue. The nuts are now completely captive and built into the seat stay during the layup process. Looks like a great fix!

How do you guys think this frame would ride with 150mm fork up front and 150mm in the back? Do you think it would be a better idea to include a 10mm crown spacer, or should it ride nicely?

They also probably did a lot of intensive in house test … oh wait they didn’t even bother redoing the geo chart, it’s just a plain copy from lightcarbon sight

Hey everyone!

First of all, huge thanks to everyone on this thread, the info i got here was super useful and valuable and made my life way easier.

My build is finally complete. Frame is a large, 160mm front and rear travel, 160mm dropper. Total weight is 32lbs.

The bike climbs exceptionally well. Super responsive and precise over technical uphill and really easy to pedal as well.

Going downhill with this machine is pure joy. It feels like my giant reign in terms of plowing through stuff, but is almost and agile and playful as my brothers trail bike that has 130/140mm travel.

Can't seem to post this if i include images, so i will see if there is another to include pictures.

I haven't taken many pictures yet but I have been riding and enjoying mine as well. At least until today!

Looks like the rear bushing slipped out and got smushed by the shock eyelet. I'm wondering if I have the wrong bushing set? 10*30mm rock shox kit, and I have a super deluxe. The black bushing doesn't extend all the way to the frame, which I thought was kinda weird but it worked pretty well until today. I guess looking back at the lightcarbon site they do specify 30*10mm. Is anyone else running a rock shox rear?

10*30 and 30*10mm is just a typo i believe, there is no such thing as a 10*30mm mounting hardware kit. I am running a fox dpx2 with a 10*30mm bushing kit and i have noticed a very small amount of play in the shock mount. I have also noticed that the rubber gasket that are supposed to be in contact with the frame don't touch completely and instead the metal bolt mount touches the frame.

Nice thanks, you're looks great! Hmm so I guess the hardware is correct but it is isn't a perfect design. I filed down the little smushed part and it seems to be working normally.

Gonna try to find some plastic washers or something to stick between so the bushing doesn't slide out again. Although I also don't want it to be rubbing against the frame all the time.

When i lift the rear end of the bike up, i can feel there is a small amount of play in the rear linkage and a very small clunk noise can be heard. It is very small, but still there. I figured out like i said previously that the mounting bolt for the rear shock is a bit too small in diameter for the shock bushing, even though i am 100% i got the right size bushing kit. Does anyone else have that? Maybe it is a problem with my frame/hardware that came with it?

I have that problem - it does seem to become loose over time/miles. I have just been re-torqueing it. So far, I have not seen a problem doing that. They seem to be made of brass, which is nice I think. Probably less corrosion risk than aluminum. However, they are a bit soft, and I've definitely found shaving from the threading operation/machining inside the shaft. So, not the best quality control. Worth removing, cleaning, reapplying good loctite to, and reassembling to torque. I've also found the solidified blue loctite on all the fasteners is pretty terrible. So, re-torqueing everything will be standard practice for me going forward.
