Hi everyone, I have just recently bought my FM909 with the CHB156 Handlebar. Unfortunately, there was no ahead cap included. Does anyone here know if this handlebar is used by other brands so I could probably order a ahead cap somewhere in europe?

I want to introduce You for my wife hand made FM909 Carbonda set - all part from China except brake Magura MT5, Sram GX set, tire 2x Vittoria Mezcal and fork Fox 32 step cast. Cost for all was bigger than I think but I build it myself and the weight is almost like I want 11kg with heavy Marocca dropper, platform pedals, milk in tires and anti-puncture insert on rear wheel.

they surely forgot to send it to you in the package. it's a non-standard cap, it's made specifically for that handlebar, you have to ask them.

Adam told me the XC frame. When it will be and what it will be there is no information. But such work is underway.

Its not. Just inquired with Adam as my 936 took an impact after 5 years of being beat up that it did not survive.
Adam told me they are focusing on the gravel bike and not currently planning on releasing a new MTB frame any time soon.
Really torn on what to replace the 936 with.....

Well time for my final thoughts on my 909 frame and build. Large 909 frame, custom clear blue paintwork, full XTR build, Sid ultimate fork and rear shock, carbon wheelset.

After two instances of cracks (one in main triangle, one in rear) I can’t recommend the frame. The first crack was quickly taken care of under warranty which was great, but the second was not. I was offered a rear triangle at 50% off which I have declined. In full disclosure I am a few months out of warranty; however, the frame only has about 170 miles on it in total. I think the rear triangle was cracked at the same time as the front, just unnoticed at the time I submitted. Still no dice on getting replacement rear triangle. Even if I was offered the replacement I cannot say that I would trust the frame. Just a little suspect to have multiple structural cracks in this few miles.

This frame was 100% ridden as a normal XC bike. I have other bikes and have no need to override this bike on terrain it was not intended for.  I’ll be looking at different manufacturers as a replacement.

Hi guys, building up a 909 and was looking to go 180mm brake rotor in the back with 4 piston XT brakes and found they don't fit.

Has anyone had any luck putting 2 piston Shimano brakes with a 180mm rotor or am I limited to 160mm?

I would like to sincerely thank everyone in this community and especialy this thread for their support. To give some background: In 2019, I lost my son at the age of four due to cancer. After his passing, I found solace in mountain biking and began riding intensively.

I had an old bike, but I wanted to replace it with a custom-built bike as a tribute to my son. Although I had no prior experience in bike building, I wanted something truly special — a real memorial bike to honor his memory.

After extensive research, I discovered this forum and learned a great deal from all of you. Alongside YouTube tutorials and blogs, I decided to order a frame from Carbonda / Wing and wheels from Elite Wheels. I also wanted a custom paint job.

My son loved Paw Patrol and had a light blue bike that he adored. I used the same color as his first balance bike for the paint. On the bike, I included the phrase "Knalluh Joel" — which translates to "Let's blaze" in English — from the show Blaze and the Monster Machines, something he loved very much.

Orange was his favorite color. So i decided the bike should be in orange. Also inspired by a bike that i had seen on this thread.

I have had the bike for about two years now and have ridden thousands of kilometers — over 6,000 km — including many single tracks and ride it really hard also, not only in the Netherlands but also in Belgium, Germany, France, Luxemburg. The bike still performs excellently. I really enjoy riding it and even completed the "Elfstedentocht" 240 km ride in a single day on this bike.

I recommend the Carbonda frame to anyone interested. If you have any questions about the building process or purchasing, please feel free to contact me. I did not keep track of the exact final cost, but it was approximately 3.600 euros. Most parts were sourced from AliExpress, except the Shimano XT M8100 groupset and Maxxis tires, which I bought from a Dutch webshop at a very competitive price. Please see the pictures attached.
My exerpiece from Carbonda was oke. The contact went oke, delivery took to long (to long). It was well packed. Custom painting was not that great in my opinion.
I saw some imperfections, but overall it was like i wanted and also like i had ordered.
 Painting quality in the Netherlands would be from a higher quality but also with a higher cost so i cant complain. All with all the paint holds really well and is scratch proof sofar  . Please see attached the pictures.

Really happy with my 909, but I want another rearaxle. Is it possible to use a Maxxle, because, other brands like Hope or Burgtec are too wide or too narrow.. (?)
Maybe anyone knows about a custom in titanium?

Take a look at the robert axle project they have some printable measurement tools. From that you could get one of theirs or look for another axle that will fit.
