Yeah would be equally interested in hearing opinions on Sensah (currently googling/searching for thoughts already out there) as I'm not completely against going down that route and upgrading other bits (cranks for example) as I go!

I actually think the Empire Pro shifters look better than the Ultegra ones (all subjective I know!)

Most of the bad reviews come from the first 11 speed generation where part of the shifter was made of plastic and broke frequently. Reviews for the 2x12 version all seem to be pretty good. this one is well put together:

Hi Mikey,
A big problem I encountered with the Sensah Empire pro is the Bottom bracket for the Zrace crank.
It must be a DUB, the SRAM standard, crank which is 29mm. If you are upgrading you may have to replace the Bottom bracket. From experience I have ordered two incorrect Brackets. Normally the Frame takes a 41mm external measurement Bracket, but the crank can be 24mm, 29mm and 30mm. There is a bit of homework required here. BEWARE!!

I am fitting the Sensah Empire Pro with the Zrace cranksets. The shifters look great in carbon fibre, but the hods are a bit light.

Anybody else used the 007Bike Store on Ali? Link below to Ultegra sets they have seems too good to be true (like a lot of stuff on Ali I guess). They have generally good reviews but slightly confused by the callipers and discs in this set not being the Shimano ones I'd expect?

I'm thinking about this listing too. Did you buy it? I'm wondering if these PRO calipers and rotors are good enough.

007Bike is good to go. Placed 3 or 4 orders with them and no issues. Parts usually come without original packaging, but all I've received are legit.

I ordered rotors from 007. Fast shipping, legit product. Price was really decent.

No I'm still holding fire.....as I really want the R8020 will full hydraulic (rather than cable to just the piston on the R8000).

SEEBike have this set in stock but I'm right on the fence of buying or not!

How much was the R7020 or R8020 pre-pandemic? Wondering how large the premium is right now.

I bought my R7020 parts last August at Bike24.
STIs + Brake calipers are +6%
Rear derraileur +10%
Front derraileur +25%

ofc, nothing of it is stock now.

I can't believe lack of stock across so many components is such an issue now. I understand covid delays last year, then over-demand with lockdowns and then brexit this year but didn't think we'd still be talking about this in March!

I managed to catch a new(ish) R8020 set on ebay this week for £700 which I felt was a good deal (hopefully no one will tell me otherwise now hah). It had been taken off a brand new bike by someone was upgrading to Dura-Ace so never actually ridden.

In the summer I was building my FM936, I literally had to buy from all 4 continents. like 10 retailers or something. Things were going out of stock as i was buying them hahaha Lead time is a hell of a thing!
