ust as you write, I've built that in. If I now only press lightly on the spacer, the paper frame and the first ring are already clamped. There is not enough space ::)

I feel like I’m turning into “micro spacer guy” :-)

It’s a common issue with these builds it seems. Easily solved luckily with some micro spacers to create a little gap between the stem and the frame so that you can preload the bearings.

ou can't really do anything wrong the whole thing is relatively simple and can be solved with an intermediate spacer ring ...
therefore the question was whether I am too stupid :-\

Something like this is what you want: https://shop.fullspeedahead.com/en/spacers/road-mtb/micro-spacer

so it doesn't bother cutting for the cables

Yeah, the steps are easy, but the devil is in the details. Things to watch for.

1. Steerer tube length. You have to cut the tube at least a few millimeters below where the bottom of your top cover is going to sit. They say a couple of millimeters below the top cover, but it really does depend on the depth of your top cover. If you don't have enough room under the top cover, you can't load the headset because the top cover will bottom out against the top of the compression plug. In the video, I seriously doubt he cut the tube short enough.

2. Compression plug slippage. This one killed me. I couldn't get the stock compression plug to stop slipping. The FSA plug works brilliantly.

3. Bearing stack height and crown race stack heights. This is where the micro spacers come in. There are so many different stack heights for the bearings and crown races, I don't know how it's possible to have an exact match for a frame.

you can test that very quickly, the Ahead cap never comes into contact with the expander

Is your expander that far down the steerer tube below your spacers? Is the top of your steerer tube above the top of your stem? How long is your top cap bolt?

Another thing that has been cut off exactly according to the instructions is tightened immediately. Then another spacer on it.
Result everything stays the same as before it tightens it is only possible with a micro spacer

Hello guys, I'm thinking to buy this beautiful frame but I can t decide the size. I am 184cm with an inseam of 88.5cm, saddle height 78cm, I think I should choose 58, right?
Specialized suggest 58 for people taller than 180cm

I have exactly the same measurements you know and drive a Tarmac in 56 and the 168 I also ordered in 56. My friend has the same measurements but a long upper body who drives 58..is not that easy

So I can suppose 58 would be more comfy and 56 more racing, but both should fit me
If I don't want a difference more than 10cm between saddle and bar height I suppose I should choose 58
