I don't think an IS version of a steering limited headset exists

The acros bloc lock is press in cups, with the limiter in the top cup and after preload, the top dust seam get tightened onto the steerer.
No mods would be needed to install this in a zs44/zs56 head tube. No frame parts like treks solution.

I thought this bike was IS and not ZS, as most chiners I've seen IRL use IS headsets.

If its ZS then no problem, you can use the acros system as an expensive solution, or the 10mm lower press in cup that rocky mountain makes which you can likely get for close to free from a local rocky dealer - I know mine has dozens of the things sitting around.

I'd just thought the bike was IS is all.

I see, my bad. Just looking at the blueprint for the 1166 frame and its 52mm top and bottom. So you're right, looks to be IS, but with a 52mm upper that means it would be internal cable compatible.
Generally not a fan of IS headsets though as I  feel like it'd be easier to be out of tolerance that zs. Actually I know of one person that's had 2x Evolve frames with wacky headset machining. I've even had it with a big brand Taiwanese made frame.

I was wondering why the quoted price and the PayPal invoice was $30 different. I have not paid yet though.

I'd probably be OK to pay the paypal fee - if you dont and use gifts and not g&s you don't get buyer protection.
