« on: September 04, 2021, 05:35:34 AM »
I want to create a little build thread of my purchase. Link to stores will be added and pictures. I really missed a thread like this when I planned my build.

Links to stores I can recommend.

Frameset is bought from obmbicycle.com they also have a store on Aliexpress called Taiwan Carbon Factory Store. Seller communicates on Whatsapp.

Bonus review - Anrancee cycling. Very good seller I bought parts from. Good communication and parts in stock but some system error occured during transport and my name was lost on the packages so everything was sent back. Still waiting a refund from Aliexpress since 2021-07-02.

It´s a 595mm frame in Osium White or F1209 as seller calls it. I choosed to replace the black with charmeleon in blue/purple shifting.

Tubeless Roval CLX50 copy with Novatec 411/412 and 1420 spokes.
1246 gram rear with 11-30 cassette and disc.
829 gram front with disc.
They are nearly 600 grams lighter than my current alu wheels.

The battery mount wasn´t included for this frame so a friend printed one from this link. It will work after some sanding.
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3305549/comments

A lot of parts to be mounted was orderered in july because of the  stock situation with everything. At this time seller said 67 weeks or 400 days before items come back in stock.

Minor sanding was needed on the fork before it could be fitted.

XLB bearings included with the frameset.

Di2 wires came very long. It was hard to find correct size so a lot of cable isn´t needed. I prepaired guide cables before mounting it.

I took Muc Off bio lube on this bike to everything. Minor sanding was needed to remove paint before bearings could be fitted.

BB68 bottom bracket. Very hard to know what torque should be used. Seller didn´t provide any. Shimano says 35-55 or so. I took 42nm on mine. Filing was needed before Di2 cable could be put into frame. Rubbercover is missing in the kit.

Rear brake mount is for 140mm disc and adaptor for 160mm wasn´t included in the caliper in the groupset. Only for front.

It´s fitted very loose with a towel so it doesn´t fall out. I guess next project will be my wall :) I took GS instead of SS so 11-32 or 11-34 could be used if I want to climb one day. I also own 11-32 and 11-28 already.

After mounting fork and headset, I heard a clicking sound inside the head tube. I removed it and notice still some carbon left. The break hose hooked in this and made a click. I need to move more than 60 degrees for this to happen. I didn´t dare to touch this so i streched the break hose a bit tighter and the clicking is gone but I can hear the hose touching the carbon inside.

A lot of things in the floor. Prologo Dimension CPC NACK is mounted.

I didn´t choose the centerlock Ultegra disc for this. All other wheels have 6 bolt so it took another disc.

Weight without chain and handlebar tape is 7,4kg currently.

Battery is charged and ready for some setup. The RS910 box is used. It didn´t fit the included mounting parts so minor sanding was needed on both RS910 and mounting brackets before they could be fit into the frame.

I found very slimmed bottle cage holders. Only 35 grams for a pair.

Supacaz sticky kush classic bar tape mounted with Rose zonePax SL gel pads on the drops. The curve of the bar made it a pain to mount the tape without cheat with an extra piece of tape. Now I need to decide if I should glue it or use the included fastening tape.
https://www.rosebikes.se/rose-zonepax-sl-gel-pads-117496?product_shape=standard&article_size=Standardgel insert.

Comparing my cyclocross with F12. The bar should be on 25mm but it´s on 50mm now until I do the bikefit.

Ugly electrical tape until now. You can see the gel inserts on the cyclocross bar. It will build a lot so I skipped it on the top on the F12. Garmin/Wahoo mount is included from seller. A bit heavy so I would prefer a lighter mount.

Testing both SH11 +-3 and SH12 +-2 cleats.

It will be interesting to try a carbon shoe instead of fiberglass this time.

Chain has been cut and quick link is used. CN900 link with HG701 chain.

I use GP5000 TL 28mm and they measure 28,45mm on this rim. GP 4000 S2 25mm measured 28,51mm. TL mounted very easy but it was worse to blow them up without soap on the tire. It didn´t slip on easy.

I decided to glue the bar tape.

My front brake locked itself so I removed the hose and pushed the lever. One white plastic thing popped out then. I don´t know where it comes from but it is working good after this. Shimano easy joint hoses is used. I did bleed both front and rear after anyway. No air rear but of course on front.

First ride has been made. 28mm is a bit more heavy to steer. They feel softer on rough tarmac. Di2 programming need to be done with some shift points. B screw need minor adjustments to become tighter. Fork should be cut a bit lower for more aero position after bikefit. Probably 25mm instead of the current of 55mm.

What makes you suspicious? Quality? It has 3 years warranty and they also offer 25% discount as crasch replacement.
It went really fast. It was sent 18th august and received 311st august. The tracking was dead between 18-27th august.

Yeah, I've like the idea that once you have the "brand" (Pinarello in that case) they can put the quality at second place, but again, that's just my idea. And I hope I'm wrong considering that I ordered the sl7 copy.
So untile the parcel is not in my country I basically can't track it I assume

It was possible to trace it when it arrived to europe but no update from China to Belgium. I did look on the SL7 too but they didn´t do 61cm. I think 58cm was just a little bit small.

How tall are you?
Ok thank for the information, I was wondering why the tracking wasn't changing in the past days.

I´m 190cm. I became very worried to be honest when the package didn´t move but the seller also informed me about it after some days.

I'm really curious to hear about how it rides and if how it compares to other frames.
