it's a sleeve that drives the ratchet to stay in the correct axis.
Moreover, it's a solid sleeve with a cut on the side and it allows the ratchet not to slip out of the axle when you remove che cassette body
To remove the sleeve you have to let it open just a little with a screwdriver blade.
I don't like it and now the hub is running without white teflon spacer and without red washer, like the "old style" DT swiss ratchet
