This modified frame seems to be very interesting. But is this the actual geometry?
The head angle seems to be very steep. And it say max tire size ist 47C.

And what where your thoughts going for a BB drop of 69mm? That seems pretty little for a gravel frame.

I have ordered this frame and anxiously awaiting while it is in paint and shipping. I’ve spent a lot of time on this forum researching many frames/builds and appreciate all of the info! I do see this question often asked and rarely, if ever, accurately answered, but I will give it a shot. Does anyone know the chain line of this new version frame? I have a sram dub road wide crankset that I hope to use (47.5 mm optimum chain line), but I would change to a dub road (45 mm) if that is what the frame is designed around. Thanks

I ordered a FM-CR060 frame through AliExpress on March 25, 2026. After placing the order, all further communication with Tideace was done via WhatsApp.

The first paint job did not match the layout that I had approved and that Tideace had confirmed. Some logos were too large, others were too small, the color lines were incorrect, and several details did not match the approved design. I reported these issues immediately. Tideace acknowledged the mistakes and agreed to correct them.

A revised layout (including some color changes) was then created and approved by me. At that point I made it very clear that I wanted a new frame to be produced, not the original frame to be sanded down and repainted.

Unfortunately, this request was completely ignored. Instead of manufacturing a new frame, Tideace fully sanded the original frame and repainted it. This process took until June 9, 2026.

However, the repainted frame still did not match the approved design. The lettering, which had been specified as silver, was changed to black without informing me or asking for my approval. In addition, the logo on the top tube was painted very poorly and looked unprofessional.

During this time, Tideace also marked the order as "shipped" on AliExpress without my approval, even though I had neither accepted the frame nor received it. This created unnecessary confusion when dealing with AliExpress customer support.

When I pointed out these new issues, Tideace told me that the frame had been painted by an external paint shop and that they had not noticed the incorrect lettering themselves. In my opinion, that is not an acceptable explanation. My agreement was with Tideace, and I simply expected to receive a frame that matched the design we had both approved.

When I insisted on receiving a frame that complied with the approved layout, Tideace's response was simply that I should cancel the order.

For the past several days, Tideace has stopped responding to my messages completely.

I cannot comment on the quality of the carbon frame itself because I never received a finished product that matched the agreed specification. My experience is solely about the communication, execution of the custom paint job, and the way my complaint was handled.

Based on this experience, I would not order another custom-painted frame from Tideace.

I received my frame a couple of weeks ago and finally got it built enough to get a decent ride in. Here’s the report:
Purchased through AliEx and the process of color and decal selection was easy enough. It arrived in less than the estimated time and was well packed and included everything that the listing said it would. I used all new components in the build and it went together without issue. I have no complaints about the quality of the product. Seems like a great value at the price point to me. My one issue is that the color in real life isn’t exactly what I expected based on the design images, but it’s really close, and just seems like the difference between looking at it in concept on a screen and reality. The paint quality seems great.

I was going for a more endurance all road bike than gravel race machine with this one and it seems to be well suited for that. Definitely a shorter reach than the popular carbon gravel frames that are dominating the discussion here, like the gv201. I’ve only ridden 30 miles of road so far, but it is a smooth compliant ride, esp for its weight. The frame weight was as advertised, but I have not weighed the complete bike yet. I’ll be making some position tweaks as I go, but it built fine and does seem like it’s going to be a nice ride, and the purchase and design process went fine as well.

As for the chain line, chainring clearance, etc, I used a sram bb, sram dub road wide crank, the spacers exactly as spec’d by sram for the setup, and a 42t chainring, force xplr 13 sp groupset. It shifts perfectly through the entire range of gears. There is not a ton of clearance at the chainstay/chainring. It is supposed to fit a 48 tooth, but I think that would sure be tight. That’s just a totally untested and unmeasured observation though.

I mounted Tufo Thundero 48 mm tires on 29 internal wheels and they measured 50.2. It has just about exactly 5mm clearance at each closest pinch point, front and rear

Trying to decide between this and the 201. They seem to overlap in a lot of ways, 060 is shorter chainstay, shorter reach, higher stack, and a degree steeper headtube.

Right now it looks like 060 are selling for about $150 more than the 201. They claimed frame weight is about 350g lighter than the 201.

This would be a build for my wife who is a lightweight herself so grams do count so if the claimed weight difference is accurate, that's probably worth $150.

I wish the headtube was a bit slacker. 73 degrees seems pretty out of date. That's steeper than my road race bike.

Anyone want to weigh in? Am I missing anything on the comparison?

I was hesitant about the head tube angle as well but it did check most of my other boxes so I went for it. I didn’t want something too slacked out and I liked its moderate chainstay and wheelbase, and I have been riding a 72 degree head angle on my last bike. I honestly do not notice the 1 degree difference on this one at all. Looking at the geo on paper I was worried about that and the lack of bb drop, but I have around 500 mi on it and really like how it goes so far. I’m on US Midwest rural roads, paved/gravel mix. It is fine on tarmac but it is a blast on gravel

I finally received my CR060 frame. I wanted if anyone found any info on what the maximum size for the fork or maximum spacers you can have. Is it just same for all bikes ? Also saw some posts saying you should always leave a spacer above the stemp to avoid cracking. Is it applicable to this fork.Thanks

Had to rush to work, haven't opened the packaging yet, will send photos of the frame next time
