ZTTO XDR cassette

Apologies for reviving this thread and I don't want to start another thread. Is there anyone here who has experience on these type of cassette? I am planning to buy a 10-33 XDR ZTTO Cassette and I want to know if there are users here who have experience on this cassette. Plan to use 48-35 Pass Quest chain rings on them

There is a 61 page thread on weightweenies.

General consensus is they’re ok in the stand but shift like crap after a limited amount of use and don’t last.

My own experience is they’re a waste of money. If you value good shifting when you ride your bike, stick with whatever Shimano or SRAM suits.

The only after market cassette id recommend is Garbaruk, but they’re expensive.

I use the goldix ones with an 10-33 with ltwoo electric shifting, no problems so far

I'm also using the Goldix 10-33t XDR cassettes with the newer silver alloy big cog. Using them with Shimano 50-34t and 52-36t on KMC X12 chains. Shifting has been fine using LTwoo ER9. I figure I could consolidate to 1 cassette across my bikes from 11-32t and 11-34t and split the difference in the middle. I gain higher top end with both cassettes and gain/lose 1t gearing on the low gear.

How long are you guys using Goldix 10-33? I am also planning to get 10-33 cassette but I am hesitant on what brand will I buy (Goldix, ZTTO or Sunshine). Is Goldix really that loud?

All these mono block cassettes are a bit noisy. Mostly on the smaller cogs, the big cogs not so much. Best to immersive wax your chain and use an aftermarket chain though. I've had the best luck with KMC X12 chains, definitely don't use Shimano chains. The hyper glide profile rubs when shifting on these cassettes. I think the Goldix and ZTTO XDR cassettes are the same, I just went with the newer silver painted alloy cog version. Just buy from whomever has the best price.

Things I don't compromise for the sake of weight savings or price:

-Saddles (although I just discovered a knockoff Bjorn Setka saddle )
-Cockpit
-Groupset
-Drivetrain

I'll take an SL8 knockoff frameset with reliable and proven components versus the opposite. Skipping gears, rear electronic derailleurs randomly failing, cracked carbon saddle rails. I don't ever wanna think about these components failing me during the heat of the moment. Sram Rival cassettes cost $120 USD

If only SRAM rival offers 10-33 then I would instantly buy it. Sad that it's not available and the Rival offers only 10-30 and 10-36. SRAM Force is a bit expensive for me, that's why I am trying to gamble on these aftermarket cassettes. If nothing satisfy my needs, I would just buy Shimano products again.

I'd rather take a mainstream frame and deck it out with unconventional components. Mixing Shimano/SRAM + whatever Chinese parts makes things more interesting and less predictable. Besides quality chains and reliable tires, everything else is fair game to try.

I ride with guys who are either mechanics and/or own bike shops. It's fun using components they have no clue about.

I've been running ZTTO 12 speed 10-50 MS ultralight 376 gram cassettes for years with smooth shifting, and (now even smoother using Wheeltop EDS OX)  on 3 bikes bike without any problems. 

OTOH, I am on my 3rd ZTTO MS ultralight 10-36 12 spd cassette on my gravel bike, that is running Wheeltop EDS TX.  Seems like on the gravel bike the upper cogs wear out faster.  I am getting about 5K to 7K miles on these.

Are the XDR version of ZTTO or Goldix 12s 10-36T XDR cassettes really not as durable?

I don’t have any issues with my road 10-33t XDR cassettes or gravel 9-46/50t XD cassettes. All my chains are immersive waxed and I rotate my road and gravel bikes. I can see people using drip wax might be prematurely wearing their cassettes out. I’m also selective about my gearing and try to avoid the big and small cogs unless I absolutely need to.

I rotate between my two road bikes. I also swap my immersive wax chains after several 100 miles/kilometers. Some weeks I prefer just doing gravel and might go a week or more only riding dirt.

Because of the way I ride and how I maintain my bike drivetrains, everything stays in relatively good condition.

Alright so I bought these ZTTO 10-33 XDR Cassette ones and will be paired with Pass Quest 48-35 in a 105 crankset (to be replaced by either Bigrock cranks or XMCS in the future). Took the risk because the issues were mostly on SLR version while the 12 spd XDR is ULT so I hope there will be no issues. Hoping that Shimano will release 10t cogs so no more gamble on these Chinese cassettes. And these will go to my next bike which is the Adapt B02.

As I mentioned, immersive wax, compatible chain and electronic shifting seems to be the best method for optimal performance on these aftermarket cassettes. Though I'm a bit bias towards Shimano Ultegra and Dura Ace chainrings, mainly for proper FD shifting. Though I plan to try some Stone chainrings soon to pair to a carbon crankset I have on order, so I'll see how those go.
