I have the Riro/Racework (updated version) carbon crankset on two bikes and they work great. Though I had an installation problem on my non-Shimano BB bike. No matter what I'd do, every time I tightened the crankset, it would lock up. On my Shimano BSA and PF BB equipped bikes I can tighten the crankset no problem. I'm guessing it's an issue with the bearings being bigger with non-Shimano BBs? I tested it on both a non-Shimano threaded BSA and threaded BB86 BB and had the same issue.

How is the aluminium spindle holding up?
Truth be told I have a BSA BB frame that needs a new crank, been looking at GXP Red and older Dura-ace cranks but they're still quite a bit more expensive than Riro... And Shimano is probably more likely to fail, considering the bike will see rain, lol

I have carbon/alloy spindle cranksets on two road bikes and one gravel bike. So far they've been holding up with no issues. Most my riding consist of both road and gravel climbing. I do weigh under 70kg. I also use rubber crank arm protectors to minimize any damage and I seal any scratches with clear nail polish enamel to avoid any delamination.

Speaking of cranksets, are there any on Aliex with 30mm spindle for BB386 type bottom brackets? I can only find the fake Ingrid copies and I don't like how it looks.

I believe the knockoff White Industries R30 cranks are also 30mm spindle.  I've bought two, the quality is impressive.  Had them side-by-side with real R30s and couldn't tell the difference.

Are you set on the 30mm spindle? If not, Fovno Aurora Pro would work

Anyway, I ended up ordering the Riro crank arms. With 50-34 chainrings the total weight should be around 560 grams

There's the carbon fiber one for very cheap, light af, but it's attaching the chain guide and front derailleur with only one screw - not sure whether that's really an issue

Yes, my BB is 386EVO with 30mm bearings. Ideally, I don't want to change bearings or use reducer adapter but with exception of knock off cranks I don't see anything on Aliex. A little surprising. These Fovnos look great but I guess if I am to use reducer adapter I will rather go with 30 to 24mm and use Shimano or Riro/Racework carbon cranks.

I have no experience with AliEx chain catchers but I can tell you the Muqzi one from your list is going to be better quality than other two. Muqzi overall makes fairly better designed and finished products compared to other cheapo goodies like that e.g. v/s Racework.

Don't bother with the CF chain catcher. I tried it and it's pretty weak. Mine eventually broke at the screw hole interface. I have the Muqzi chain catcher and it's much better built with quality hardware. I would definitely stick to the alloy variety. Though I stopped using these type of chain catchers all together because I'm more likely to get an outer ring chain drop as opposed to an inner ring. You're better off just getting your FD positioned as close as possible to the chainring teeth and avoid being in your small cogs when you hit bumpy terrain.

FYI - On my gravel bike I'm also running a 46/30t chainring, a GRX 400 FD and use a Ultegra RX800 RD with the clutch in the ON position.

What 12 speed MTB cassettes (HG) are good? Shimano doesn't make HG compatible 12s cassettes and my experience with Sunshine and Goldix 12s cassettes has been sub-par. The indexing was near impossible and I always had sloppy shifting in some spots. I eventually switched the freehub to MS and got Deore cassette (thanks DTSwiss) but that's not an option on my gravel bike's wheels. The LTWoo EGR deal is super tempting and I am wondering if I should keep it in 11 speed mode and use the fantastic Deore M5100 11s 11-42 cassette with it.

OR may be with LTWoo's clever app that allows fine tuning each shift the indexing issues similar to mechanical shifting can be negated?

How about a Sunrace 12 speed HG MTB cassette? They're Taiwan made cassettes and I find them to be a bit higher quality. Plus they're easier to find in the US.

Daer all, I've recently ordered Senicx crankset for a low budget gravel project; from the description or user's reviews I can't understand if the 3 screws for gxp chainring are included or I need to do a dedicated order. Someone with similar crankset found the screws in the box?

They should be included. Most of my crankset have this interface and they had all included bolts.
