New Carbonda 2023
« on: December 09, 2022, 02:15:16 AM »
hi friends, do you happen to know if carbonda will release some light full xc frames like the 909 with 120 rear travel in 2023?

Carbonda/Flybike usually post web pages for new products before they’re released since this is a “catalog” business rather than a normal branded bike business where you usually announce something after it’s ready to ship in volume.

I would assume we’d hear about any new frames in the pipeline well before they became available.

I asked Adam about it about a month ago and they don't plan 909 with 120mm travel option.

I have ordered two 120mm linkage

I missed a boat here  8)
You bought and replaced just the linkage to get 120mm ?
Isn't the problem with the seat stays bridge that could hit the seat tube ?

The new linkage extends the rear wheel at top-out.  So BB raises a bit and the clearance between seat stay bridge and seat tube increases compared to the typical linkage.

There is no problem with the seat stays bridge.
See acedeuce802 post.

Do you happen to know if the new 120 link is set up for the UDH standard?

Just to say that I ordered one of these new links and have installed it already. You should note that in addition to the linkage you need  a 45mm stroke shock (I just cut the travel spacer out of my RS nude) and different shock mounting hardware. But, once you have done that, it rides great! I can highly recommend it.

What is the difference in shock hardware comparing to the old link?

Old 100mm linkage - 8x22.2mm
New 120mm linkage - 8x30mm
