LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets

Can anyone share pictures of their front derailleur from the front in the hardest gear? Im loosing my mind here trying to get rid of the rubbing but the cage just seems too narrow. It looks like it's bent inwards at the bottom so it always rubs when I'm in the smaller cogs in the back and the chain sits lower. In big/small the chain barely fits in the cage and it's rubbing on both inner and outer plates

thanks. I was starting to get paranoid thinking my derailleur was bent. In the ltwoo installation video they say to align the outer plate with a big ring but if you look at it from the top the outer plate is curved so hard to tell how exactly it's supposed to be aligned. Ill try to play around with a derailleur position.

Oh I was just mentioning what I am anticipating from LTWOO, they sent me pictures of the groupset so I could see the FD has USB C etc

I failed in my attempt. I initiated the return but by the time I got home and got pictures of it to start the return process the store had already sold out. Hopefully 80s Designer Store or Ltwoo Official Store get some more stock. Only one with stock right now is 318 Trader store but the customer service was clueless about versions and couldn't send pictures so I'm not going to bother.

I suspect so. Which makes me think the price will come back higher when they're back in stock.

I would keep it if I were you. Maybe order a spare battery charger cable as well. It'll probably be the last time you'll get an electronic groupset for $300'ish USD. 

Just stick to the dielectric grease and liquid tape method to keep the battery ports weather sealed.

I’ve paired my LTWOO brifters with Campagnolo calipers. Works great. I used the Campy pin and olive on the caliper end of the brake line. Those are virtually identical with Magura so I’m sure that Magura calipers would work as well. In fact I’ve paired Magura MT8 calipers with Campy Ekar levers on my gravel bike. And the LTWOO hydraulic units in the brifters are basically Campy copies. And I’m quite sure you could pair the levers with Shimano calipers as well.

Good to know. I'm about to do the same with a Wheeltop group, for the weight savings. Its on an sl8 replica, so dual Ekar calipers for me (they're identical to the 140 road calipers) with the unique 160 adaptor up front. Folks have used both the Shimano and Campy pin and olive when doing Shimolo, but I was going to do what you did, Campy at the caliper end. Were you able to reuse the same hose?

May have to wait for some of the tariff scare tactics to be resolved before good prices can be had again? Clearly T went bigly to force a negotiation, but has anyone noticed ali prices up big yet? If it's 54% added on, that changes the value proposition.

When I used Campy calipers with LTWOO er9 brifters, I used the brake lines that were already attached to the calipers IIRC. When I connected Campagnolo Ekar to Magura MT8 calipers it was the other way around. The levers came with sealed brake lines attached and pre-filled. As long as the pin matches the internal diameter of the brake line and the olive seals properly I don’t really think it matters much to be honest.

Been speaking directly with 80 Designer Store over the last week or so and sounds like they are sold out of the new version ER9 which would have been my preferred option.

But I have just picked up an ERx groupset from them for £408 (with some vouchers). The listing had photos of the OG version but they confirmed through photographs that it will be the V3.

Excited for it but finding the very limited online coverage of it a bit odd.

Will post some shots once it arrives.

I received my eRX groupset a few weeks ago but only got around to installing on Saturday. It is the full v.3 groupset and I have to say I am very impressed so far. Installation was relatively straightforward, I had a few issues bleeding the brakes but I think they were self-inflicted!

The finish and quality of the all components is fantastic, very premium and looks a huge improvement over the original design, particularly the front derailleur.

I put 100km on it over the weekend and was very happy. The brakes are as good as any I have ridden and the shifting was almost always fast and crisp. I had a few slow shifts but think that is more the fact I didn't install a new cassette with the groupset and used one that has a few 1000kms on it.

The ergonomics on the hoods is great too, not quite as big as mechanical 105 but bigger than Sram Rival, perfect for my medium hands.

All though all has gone well for me so far, I feel this is still something that I wouldn't recommend to someone and that is more because I don't have full confidence in warranty and support rather than the quality of the product.

Will try to add more thoughts as I get more miles.

*UPDATE* Welp... after reading some back posts in this thread... I went and held the pair button to reset stuff... it moved the derailleur but would go back to original stuck position. Looked at the app and it still thought i was in the highest gear... What i did was hold it again and pedal the bike when it moved and it eventually dumped the gears into the smallest cog and now things are working again. Yea it's buggy. First time encountering this issue. I think TraceVelo had taken his apart and moved a thing at some point but this somehow worked for me just figuring out the software. Wondering if the new version is gonna be as buggy as this one...

Another ER9 issue... Yea anyone have any ideas? I've sent this to 80 Designer Store as well. They sent me a replacement rear derailleur last time when the old one had battery phantom drain. I also complained about the sticking button under freezing temps too a few months ago and have not gotten any updates but now it's warmer I havent had that issue so I dont mind as much. But now this after I cleaned my bike. Didnt even hose the derailleur. Hoping 80 Designer Store will be fix it...
