For the price premium, I think the ER9 groupset is the better value. Unless they start adding additional features to the ERX, it's mainly all cosmetic.

Can someone send me photos of your RD in front and back? I mean ER9 V3.0 version.

Hello. Why this RD has no light? It should be light there in circle correct? This is ER9 V3.0

Or this is led light and reset button (in red circles) ?

Seller said that Er9 3.0 has charging by USB-C but ERX also have this and have the light there.

Is anyone using XDR cassettes on the ER9/X like the 10-33t? Thinking of trying one out to move my 11t in-board and have the 10t available for the occasional sprint. I plan to pair it up with my Ultegra 52-36t chainrings.

I'd probably 3d print myself a chain guide similar to this for 1x
3D printing a chain guide with an integrated USB C to L-Twoo cable adapter would be the ticket!

just came across the LTwoo eRX new rear derailleur thread and clicked on the link to 80 designer store.
holy moley did the price skyrocket. My er9 last year came in at $359.34. now the ER9 v3 is at $943.67.
Does anyone at this price really consider buying this?

I doubt it would be that simple, there's probably some charging logic in that FD

I've had a glitch on my er9 yesterday. Only as I was beginning to trust it.
I started to ride and was not able to shift into larger cogs in the rear. I was maybe in 3rd smallest and when I tried to shift, the rd would shift but then the red LED on the rd would flash and it was shifting back. I tried shifting in the app and it was the same. Then i shifted into a small ring in the front and was able to shift 1-2 gears in the back before it started "unshifting" again. Then I tried shifting by clicking the button on rd and while initially it didn't make any difference, after a few tries I managed to shift through the whole cassette and after that it started to work normally.
Any idea what could have caused it? I did wash my bike a few days prior and didn't ride the bike since then but it definitely worked right after the wash

I check two-three days ago and the price was normal. Yesterday they make that price, wonder why.

They just probably out of stock, so raised price not to buy and keep the listing high.

i had 3 or 4 er9 RDs die, bought them in 2023. When they died, they just died. Yours seems to have half died, then came back to life, but the problem seems to be the same: red light, no shift.
I would suggest you consider buying a replacement er9 RD on Alix whenever there are attractive coupons next. Can be as low as 150 eur, and this way, if yours does die, you can keep riding without waiting for weeks if not months for a replacement.
Unless you have other bikes you can ride in the meantime.
Basically, if it's a 150 eur insurance policy, i think it's worth it. If is starts costing significantly more, becomes highly debatable.

It seemed like a software glitch to me. it behaved like you were at the end of the cassette and attempted to shift further out or when the gear protection is blocking the shift. It also blinks red when you do that. It was shifting but was then shifting back automatically and it was registering the correct gears: you could see it shift 8->7 when i clicked but then red light and it automatically shifts back 7->8.

After riding er9 for about 3000km I don't think I'm willing to spend more money on it. If it dies, it dies. I'm eyeing a new rival xplr 13 speed. You can get a full groupset for under 1000euros and since I really hate front derailleurs it looks like a no brainer.

an ER7 groupset has now popped up https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009638930967.html

For the most part, it looks funtionally identical to er9/x, except the RD mount is now a traditional type, and not shimano direct mount like er9/x are. Still has multiple gear options, so everything else should be the same electronically as well. Almost certainly worse quality materials and finishing.

Very cool. But, what is the deal with the naming scheme???

Ltwoo also released a carbon fiber cage and oversized jockey wheel replacement. Though my guess it fits only ver 3 ER9/X and ER7.
