So I spoke to Ltwoo about my leaking brake calipers. Specifically Lt-ray.

And they have basically for all intents and purposes told me where I can stick it. They will not warranty my brakes. Very poor form from. LTWOO.  :-[

Try replacing the seal and piston. In general I don't have any issues with LTwoo calipers. I detailed the piston replacement procedure on the maintenance sub-forum. It could just be a bad seal. Also this problem isn't isolated to LTwoo, same issue happened with my GRX caliper prompting me to look at alternative fixes.

First time posting here, been thinking about building up a bike and I'm on the fence about purchasing the ER9 groupset. Through this lengthy forum I'm aware that V1 and V2 had some issues of spontaneously breaking, but I was curious to hear if there was any consensus on reliability of the V3?

I'd be thankful for any positive or negative thoughts about investing in the v3 version for a new bike.

I've been okay with two of my ER9 groupsets for over a a year. The major issue being water ingress, but that was rectified with properly sealing the battery cable port. I think the V3 ER9/X is even better now with all the minor improvements they've implemented. The V3 ER9 when on sale and additional discounts hits the price sweet spot. If buying the ERX, I'd probably buy from Panda Podium since pricing isn't much higher than AliEx and you'll get better customer support.

I can fix it. That's not the problem. My problem is I bought a product with a warranty. And if something is faulty I expect it to be fixed in accordance with said warranty. I don't expect the manufacturer to play the blame game and deny my support request.

If Chinese manufactures want to be taken seriously on a global level they can't keep falling into same stereotypical "good luck with Chinese support" pitfalls

That said, this morning i bought another er9 for ~350 eur on AliX, to have a spare. At this kind of price, i'm buying, because when something breaks, i just shrug and replace it. I lost way too much time trying to get these gits to honour their warranty, i'm done.
Some people have had success getting warranty via aliexpress, but that's not ltwoo warranty, it's aliexpress seller warranty, keeping in mind that ltwoo themselves don't sell on aliexpress.

Which store did you find that deal on er9?  Thanks for sharing info.

Where'd you buy the groupset from? LTwoo confirmed they're a straight up direct-to-business supplier. So you'll have to get warranty support from whichever vendor you bought it from. Also new pistons and seals are like $10 USD or less and it's an easy fix.

direct from them. I had LT-ray's contact information so I just got organised it through him. But it seems posting a negative review as a local pro in your country gets them to move the needle a bit. I send the link of my review to Lt-ray and now suddenly I have a Caliper on its way to me.  ::) go figure

Is there any comparison video between the new eR7 and ER9?

Looks the same and has new V3 improvements on it :S

Quick reply to my post. I rode the Frankenstein Shimano/SRAM gearing combo today on a group ride and it did great. No issues on shifting after initial gear fine tuning the night before. Took the bike on fast flats and even climbed a 34% elevation hill attack and it held up fine. The 52:10t gearing works best on downhills and gaining a bit of extra speed on the flats. The nice thing is moving the high gears slightly in-board for a more optimized chain line. The only thing I'm not fond of is having an alloy cog for the lowest/granny gear. Not sure why they couldn't just make a full steel mono-block cassette. They already make HG steel road cassettes under 200g, so an XDR cassette can easily be made into all-steel for extra durability.

Does it look like there's enough capacity to go with a 10-36?

Well, i am very sorry to hear this...we have kicked out ltwoo from our webshop almost a year ago, as they behave like maniacs regarding product development, selling products with known issues, customer service etc...they do not care a bit for outer domestic markets.
all the mechanical sets we have sold , started great, but we have contacted our customers for feedback, as we rethink decisions after a certain amount of time...ALL of the sold groupsets have had issues, mainly with broken levers, levers with hyrdaulic problems etc...we have not sold many, luckily....but on a resellers standpoint...these products are only sellable from chinese ground....in europe, warranty would kill the profits and turn them into losses...
we will sit and wait...

Probably, but I'd do it with a 50-34t chainring and I wouldn't use the stock jockey wheels. I really prefer 11/11t compared to the stock 11/12t setup and getting the upper wheel as close to the small cog as possible. The main reason is to reduce chain whip in the big/small chainring/cog combination which can result in chain drop.

Also my 52-36t/10-33t setup works, but not ideal in either the big/big or small/small. It clears on both ends, but it's best just to avoid cross chaining by leaving the gear protection setting ON.

Hi guys,
Yesterday I ordered the eRX v3.
I will upgrade from a Tiagra group, so I will need a new cassette.
Usually the eRX only supports 32t, but in the last few pages I already read that some of you tried more teeths and it still works.
Which cassette with higher than 32t have you tried and is still working?
Any recommendations from ZTTO or Goldix?
Do you also have a chain to recommend?

The newer ultra lightweight ZTTO/Goldix all-steel HG cassettes are all the same, just go with whichever has the better price. I've had the best luck with KMC X12 chains with Chinese road cassettes. You can use both HG and XDR cassettes with decent shifting. If using a Shimano cassette, you can stick with a Shimano chain.

Swap the LTwoo wheels to Shimano 11/11t jockey wheels and start experimenting. The Shimano upper 11t is narrow/wide which helps prevent the chain from getting jammed. The lower 11t (Ltwoo uses a 12t) will allow you to bring the cage closer to the small cog to minimize chain drop. I use a chain catcher on the FD with both my ER9 road bikes.

I think 11-36t will clear, but you'll have to mess with chain length and dialing in the right 2x chainring size for your riding. I suggest anything exceeding 11-32t, you should turn on the gear protection feature. At these out-of-spec ranges, the cross chained gears won't have ideal performance. I just dial in the chain length long enough so it doesn't snap my rear derailleur if I accidentally shift into big/big.

I have two ER9 bikes using 50-34/11-34t and the other on 52-36/11-33t. I've entertained the idea of a building a 48-32t/11-36t setup with ER9, but at that point I'd rather just have a 1x setup.
