My wheelset is an odd 12x135mm TA (rear) per Specialized's SCS format that they were pushing in mid 2010's. I am trying to convert it into standard 12x142mm. Can anyone confirm if the 12x142 end caps are all what I need or a specific 135 to 142 conversion kit? I am seeing on Alix there are numerous sellers selling 12x142 end caps for 240s hubs while Universal and other some bike specialty websites sell 135 TA to 142 TA conversion kit for $48~. From the photos, the end caps and conversion kit end caps look all same and no one specifies the dimensions. I could wager the "135 to 142 conversion kit" is a money grab but...thoughts?
